Microsoft was thinking about drastically changing how much money they would be taking from developers and publishers on ALL platforms! Will they ever go through with these previous plans or did they see the cost as too high?

  1. Microsoft has also been behind the curve. At least its a start in the right direction. The way they do things has always been anticipated and need to change so it can benefit them in the future not at the moment.

  2. 9:05 I love how Nintendo Wiiu failed so hard it just doesn't exist in people's mind. Yes, Nintendo did worse than Mircosoft. The switch is a "Next Gen" console comparable to PS5 and Series X, not One and 4

  3. Didn’t buy the new gen and probably never will. If MS does away with Gold and doesn’t require you to have game pass for free online, the OG PS4 is getting packed up

  4. Like how you show a glimpse of that scene in Rogue One to send a subtle happy Star Wars day message without having to pause the topic of the video to say that, Happy Star Wars day to you too, May the force be with you Fanta.

  5. let me ask you…
where is this "cut" being passed onto the customers?
games are still 60/70 dollars, and devs/pubs profit more money than ever….
30 percent is INDUSTRY standard. but not just video games industry, but every retail standard.
you pay the retailer for marketplace.
the retailer ( such as steam) provides a HUGE customer base to which you can SELL your games!
what is the worth of a HUGE consumer base?
    idk man….but I can tell u it's more than 12 percent….
valve didn't build their store/brand loyalty overnight.
    that market has its value.
if u want to sell to the most people, you pay the INDUSTRY STANDARD.
valve ain't charging more than Wal-Mart or Amazon or gamestop…
fuck off if u don't understand basic economics.

  6. I went back to Microsoft cause I was able to hit on a series S! I just hope they make all the other cods available on game pass and one thing that would really drive customers to them would be having game pass and gold all in one in my opinion. I hope some new games cone out soon though

  7. This will turn into a Back in my day story, You see kids back in my day games only cost $50 on release day, and you could play that game for years, because it was not internet-based. Also, if you don't belive that, the games back in the day had NO Micro transactions, or loot boxes.

  8. Fanta is completely wrong about the consoles. The reason why Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo are allowed to get away with the 30 percent is because there's other options to buy games like from Best Buy or Walmart for example. The reason why apple is not allowed to get away with it because there's no other options to get the apps which is the problem with the 30%. And if you try to fight Apple they will remove your app.
