  1. As a mid elo player that plays multiple roles I can assure you the toxic celebrity thing is a real phenomenon. The worst part about it isnt the fact that the streamers are annoying and egotistical, we can just choose not to consume their content or skip their clip in an ifunzio highlight video. Some of them even make educational content for people trying to climb despite the occasional elitism, like kingstix.

Honestly its the worst when corona is a thing, youre stuck playing from another region with all your shit on NA, you bar yourself from ranked since you dont want to grief other players with your finnicky 220+ ping and people feed blame and talk shit in norms when they have no knowledge over the role or champion you are playing.

And thats all just because they watched a streamer do some insane build with it while on a smurf in silver. I’m guilty of salt too. When this shit happens I call them out for being silver, I cuss them back out of frustration and go in depth explaining how I cant hope to outgank a zac on lilia. I never pull OP.GG on them real time and do “background checks” with any 3rd party website like some rank fanatics but I do check my own game logs after a day of games out of habit. Most of the time I hilariously find calling them silver during our matches was actually a literal compliment to them.

The “trick2g wannabe” and challenger elitism-but monkey mechanics combo are still prominent mental illnesses to this day even in norms. And its toxicity ever more infectious.

  3. Basically, I love LoL when it's a game, and i fking hate it when it's an esport.

Like you when you're a kid you like to play football and when you grow up just watching people doing it, and sometime you hate it too.

  4. Everyone has that one champion that they fell in love with the game through, and when they get reworked and the reworked champion doesn't even look anything like the original you fell in love with, you stop loving the game. The best thing for Riot to do is to introduce, "classes" where, when you select a champion, you are able to select their reworked version or their original version for gameplay. BOOST THIS POST UP IF YOU AGREE!!

  5. There's always a day where you look at that icon on your desktop and ask yourself where's the fun you have on the game these days… for me its always the feeling of some champions, like Neeko who plays a more mental game. But there's a friend of mine, a good friend who just almost go insane sometimes ingame, and while i understand why, it gets me to a point where i realy see why i keep playing that much, its because "Someone on the other team is having a worst game than me"

When i play the game i always pay atention to /all to see if someone on the other team is tilted, so i can exploit it, like when i change my Neeko into a low HP adc and dodge 3 global ultimates and send a "?" on /all and then, some minutes later, someone kills me in the middle of a team fight and sends a "?" too… its godamn hilarious… to think that something so tiny could have a impact on someone to just hate you for a outplay. Don't get me wrong, i'm never toxic like those assholes out there, i just send baits so i can see if there's a opening to be exploited, but when you start to get a taste of those things you realise how worthless those reactions are.

That friend of mine gets insane on every match just because an emote, an Lulu laugh or something like that, and when he kills that champ who did it, he starts flaming him on /all, and just makes them flame back or just laugh it off… Why?… i don't know… but i do know that is just useless… If you want to be toxic to someone who's being a piece of shit, be sure to understand that you're not hurting nobody, you're just feeding something even worse, you're making his day, you're just doing exactly what he wants you to do… because in the end of the day, its a game… and even though you want to win… those actions are opening that everyone can exploit… Just mute them and report them on the end of the match, because that's the only productive thing you can do since Riot removed the tribunal…

Well, quoting Erik Wright, a Dota 2 Youtuber, "The reason i'm still sane while playing this game is because i know someone on the other team is having a worst game than me"

  6. I'm a casual player. I have been playing since season 4 and I think the game is getting worse for most of the reason you said. If you aren't ranked you are garbage and speak on the state of the game if you are ranked you are garbage unless you are like challenger 800 LP. Something I loved as a casual player that they did away with was the rotating game modes where every weekend we got an alternate game mode to play. It was fun and great because what it allowed more casual people to do is just go have fun on the weekends with some friends in the game when they didn't like the current patch or season. It's also one of those things when someone asks me if they should get into League I in good conscious can't tell them yes because it's awful to get into. Even new players are super toxic toward each other saying how much each other sucks or how broken a champion is instead of just trying to have fun with the game. I recently played in a 5 man premade with some friends and before it was fun whether we won or lost but now it just feels like "whatever" and sure we have a great time talking to each other but it feels like if we played any other game we would of had more fun and we proved this by playing a bunch of random games together. League isn't what it used to be and as much as I love the game I also hate it.

  7. I watch this video after items for season 11 have been released on PBE. The game is going downhill. Everything you knew about item compsand counters for the last 10 years….is worthless. Ive been playing thia game for over 11 years now,and i think season 11 is the tipping point for me. As much as i love/hate the game, And have spent thousands on supporting them. Im finally uninstalling it and moving on….somehow

  8. Decided to re watch this, as I've reached my limit with league. I liked the competitiveness and the casual play but the toxicity and environment that Riot has allowed League to become is too much. They say they dont like toxicity but it's a heavy breeding ground for it and the report system is shit as fudge. They say mute all or the one or more particular person/people but that doesn't stop the toxicity from happening or them getting away with it OR you being the one that gets punished for defending yourself (especially if they are with other people or can lie). You then miss out on the one thing people liked about league which was you get to meet new people, who can be future friendships, coz you do everything in your power to not stand up for yourself or for someone else in fear of it being thrown back at you.

Also this whole idea of releasing a champ for each role but not being able to control and fix your client for the majority of people to enjoy, is weird. Yes, you can't please everyone but they aren't even trying to please the minority let alone the majority – coz not everyone will become/are streamers or a pro gamers. The majority are casual players or semi-hardcore gamers. Then, the champ releases and the patches, you are technically given 3 days to a week to learn/improvise with the new patches and new champs before league makes even more changes or until people start berating you, I've seen people be toxic towards people who have played a champ that came out 3 hours ago, let alone if you change role mains permanently or for a lil variety/experimentation, people will bitch and league just allows it.

League with the overall content is great, new champs = new experiences and variety, changes to older champs = the same but also can show the champ is a new like, make the easier to play and match up with the current world of league which is forever changing. BUT the constant patches, the increasing toxicity, the broken clients and report systems, the direction of league being more for full time gamers than casuals makes it irritating and frustrating to play. Even for me a very, very casual player.

    Sorry for the rant.

  9. I keep coming back to league every few months. Play a game or two, realize this is not fun and play smthn else. Its a old hat by now and a new champ doesnt change the feel of the game. So yeah keep going into other stuff matt. No one likes a guy who does the same stuff over and over anyway. Keep it fresh 🙂

  10. I hate this game. I hate it SO MUCH, but I've stuck with it for ten years, and spent so much money on it, and I've had a lot of good times with it. I remember maining old Karma before they deleted her and replaced her with a generic mage. I remember maining Vladimir before they deleted him. I met my ex on League. I remember Twisted Treeline and Dominion and always wondering when the next unique map would come out…

But now it's just Summoner's Rift, ARAM, and whatever low-effort garbage they put in periodically, and they're all tainted by Riot's increasing pandering to esports crowds and the lowest common denominator. Things like instant death damage, executions, big flashy ults, a million hyper-mobile dashes, being unkillable with Death's Dance/Conqueror… Those are all designed to LOOK cool to a spectator, but feel like complete ASS to anyone playing the game. It makes non-players WANT to play and become high ranked and prestigious, while it makes the actual player feel bad.

Riot wants to foster a frustration in players. They want to make them feel like they have to play the newest most OP champion, but they can't get Blue Essence by losing, so they have to buy the new champions with RP to win. Then, since they're stuck playing the easy instant win champions like Yasuo, Zed, Yone, Samira, and Kayn (four of which are basically clones of one another), they might as well buy skins since everyone else is playing them and they have to differentiate themselves somehow while they flex on people who didn't buy them. Thus, the cycle continues, and players make other players frustrated to force purchases.

The change from IP to Blue Essence was a calculated attempt to scam players out of rewards for the simple act of playing the game. Lootboxes are designed to be addictive and I'm pretty sure it's been proven that Riot gives better odds to people who open lootboxes on camera to influence people to buy them. Samira's spotlight literally calls her the "tilt queen" while telling Yasuo to "move over," so they KNOW she is designed to make people angry, and is a ripoff of Yasuo's design, basically attempting to make another extremely overpopular champion.

There is nothing in this game that makes the experience positive for the general player. You have to delude yourself with the chase of prestige and ranking, or seeking instant death kills that don't actually feel like playing the game, because there's no moment-to-moment gameplay that requires conscious thought, just building a one-shot beatstick that abuses mechanics with no counterplay. Riot removed their tenets of game design from the website years ago. They don't care about making a fun game. They just want money. And they're willing to hurt everyone who plays the game in order to get it.

  11. been saying for years for lol. riot needs another game mode that is little bit more casual or not "on the fucking book" meta required.
basically this: a mode where every 2-3 months it changes what champs AND items are available. remove i dont know 1/4 of current champs all randomly chosen or specific focus and same with items BUT also add in old items during the time. for ppl that play this mode they can only play champs thats havnt been removed and only utilize items that havnt been locked off.
exm: s1 of this only last 2-3 months the only champs playable are gen 1 champs. basically the first year of lol. same with items with removing new items and bring back old ones ONLY for these 2-3 months. then once it ends this time they remove 15-20 champs randomly or specifically same with items and ppl that play it try out new builds or go nuts with it.

that or i pray one damn day they do something like heroes of the storm does with their unique maps and each having their own objectives.
an arcade mode with 2 versions. 3v3 or 5v5.
3v3 bring back twisted treeline with some changes and 2 new 3v3 maps with objectives. same with 5v5. bring back crystal scar for this with 2 new objective 5v5 maps.
in end you have norms, rank, aram, 3v3/5v5 arcade and/or "theme season" modes. for the ppl that want to be the next faker wannabe sure go nuts and focus rank and nothing else. somewhere in between then yeah rank or norms. more casual then aram or those modes i mention.

  12. I get you man, i stop playing games a couple years ago but league is just part of my life, by competitive scene, play cuz is part of the routine or sometimes, or just sometimes… having fun with friends, shit i even stop playing casuals and just rank on flex cuz i dont even get mad anymore… but i love/hate league. I start making videos 4 years ago cuz i love what you do and i wanted to do it my way and i love it… but i upload twice or maybe 3 times a year cuz yeah, everything ill do now will be useless in 6 months, or, in the case of my ornn video, 3 fcking weeks, 3 FCKING WEEKS, WTF! But yeah, is sad seing you out of league, darkmane doing it soooo low handed or even skooch who keeps doing videos making it… less often. Exil and Gbay (reforged gbay :v) are quality content but is not league itself, is more about the storytelling that they manage to do everytime that gets you hooked…. Ah, 6 years playing league miself too…. i dont know whats happening next, im sure lol will be still around in 10 years, but thats it, no one knows how, it will be dying? Maybe. Bigger? Maybe. Not the main game of riot´s anymore? Maybe. Lets wait, meanwhile we can play, not play, just watch esports, just do costplay, just play tft, stop following everything, whatever…. Sometimes is just sad how by knowing the how to play the game …you just dont have fun anymore….

  13. That's exactly why I quit half year ago. After 7 years of playing. No more satisfaction even in winning. I feel much better now. I have more time for myself and other much better games/things.

  14. Personally it's really hard for me to go back into league especially everytime I go back I have to update it. I literally just stopped playing for lik a month and 2 champions already appeared. I still like the game especially with friends although most of them are pretty competitive. I haven't really poured that many hours into playing the game as much but I do enjoy playing it a lot.

  15. At this point i just gold 4 and then GTFO with ranked, just in case the skin turns out good.

However, even ARAM and URF is toxic at this point. Not even in the for fun modes can you escape toxicity.

  16. I just got recommended this however, this is still very true to this day. Been playing since Season 2 but gave up on Rank about 4-5 years ago because of how toxic it is and now I get flamed for being “Low Elo” or “Silver Trash” if I ever have a bad game when honestly most of the time I am just there to have fun. I used to be Plat 2 but I never shit on someone for being lower than me because it’s so fucking stupid. I rarely even play the game anymore because I just get stressed out.

Love your videos, keep doing what you’re doing !

  17. If you want to have a good time, 5 man comp is definitely the way. For rank, it’s reasonable for 4 people to flame if you messed up bad. Like you get slap because your brother didn’t eat his veggie. However, 5 man comp is way more enjoyable
