NEW DETAILS- SIMS 4 SURPRISE- ANNIVERSARY NEWS/ SPECULATION 2021

Now we know that the surprise announced from the Sims 4 anniversary will include collabs with over 20 other creators/cc creators. One of them is known for their Sims 4 cc skin, body hair, and even. height sliders. But some in the Sims community are less than happy, and see reasons why this collab may not be the best move for 2021.

I’ll cover the latest news, from Sims Community; give my honest opinion, speculation, and go over the pros and cons– as decided by you.

Here’s to hoping the next few months will deliver some on wishlist items for Sims 4 in 2021.

Previously on my channel:
For the 21st anniversary, the Sims team announced a surprise– but it’s not yet certain if it’s updated babies, cars, bunk beds, or anything related. Last year for the Sims 4 community, there was controversy over the hot tub for the 20th anniversary update.

I’ll give my honest opinion about the latest Sims 4 news, speculation, and if I think this was a good way to celebrate the 21st anniversary of the Sims.

Stay tuned for more Sims news, info, and more. I also cover Paralives, and other life simulation games.

  1. As long as they’re being paid correctly, EA should just have community builders and CC creators create their assets from now on. At least we know it’ll all be pretty decent. (That being said, EA’s CAS has been pretty good lately)

  2. OH NO! the Bethesda Creation Club all over again! this is not a good move EA! Bethesda got some flak for this shit as they controlled what the modders/creators could do and this lead to the content creation being well………………………….. a complete failure! as a result stuff is no longer made on there as the modders for the most part went back to places like Nexus because the freedoms they had there compared to BCC was huge.

EA are making the same mistake Bethesda did with Fallout 4 this is going to be EA fucking up again! sorry for swearing Erin but ive seen this before and i know exactly where this is going to go! this is a "how to kill the game move" to get people preped for the Sims 5 as Bethesda did this with Fallout for to prep people for Fallout 76 which is an open world multiplayer game and a semi sucessful game after 2 years from release.

and worst of all during the first 2 years of that game it was mired in hellish bugs, graphics issues game destroying AI issues the list goes on Bethesda even got sued by an epileptic for causing a seizure due to how bad the bugs and graphics issues were. yeah this is not going to end well! if this is a move to get peoiple hoping the sims 5 will be better then im not hopeful for the sims 5 as this reeks of the fallout debarcle.

and finally by the way Fallout 76 has the CC shop and mother of god! the stuff is over priced and mostly worthless junk its a bloody crash grab that boils my blood how stupid do they think the simmers community are? this makes me angry as i said ive seen this shit before and its not good!

  3. Given that there are many, many quality of (Sim and game-bug) life type things the mods do, I would not be surprised if this update does include a LOT of at least temporary workarounds for current bugs. Collaborations as part of team building gets everyone to feel heard and involved. EA has taken a massive step in the right direction. Our well known modders are likely the most in tune with what Simmers truly want AND how viable those desires are. Modders are not like influencers and game changers who essentially create bandwagon armies of fans yelling things louder than the rest of the community. Through the stats of their downloads, collaborations, and community conversations, they are the ones who know not just what Simmers want, but what they'll actually keep long-term in games as well as what problems or benefits with these featurea entail. Do I expect an amazing download the end of February? Not really. There's no bug talk fix, and that immediately turns me off (yet, as per my first statement-hopefulish). Do I think that it's the perfect, right step? Yes, if this follows through and Ea doesn't overburden it by getting too many pots cooking, absolutely yes. Don't understand the community outcry on "body hair." You people are really weird in your first thought on great mods. But, anywho, the rest of it is great.

  4. I try to stay optimistic about the game, because let's face facts….this game has seen some major let-downs. That said I think it is AWESOME they are working with the community. I'm sure there are limitations on the community creators just as their are on the developers. Regardless of the politics behind it I like seeing the community being involved learning about creators we have never heard of or seeing some of our favs.

  5. Im speculating this will be a themed mini stuff pack, some CAS and BB items from a certain era or culture/location. It is a little odd they waited till the anniversary to announce a later update but that way it gives us time to talk about it and build up some excitement.

  7. 21 is a lot of creators so I am hoping they collaborated with a couple modders and builders in addition to CC creators. The modders could help with updates and pack fixes and the cc creators could create objects that builders feature in a new world, and any CAS assets designed by CC creators could be featured in new townies. If it weren't EA I would think all of this is possible, but EA's history with the Sims 4 is not the best

  8. Not being salty but i dont quite understand y cc creators are more likely to know what we want as players? Surely they could just be hired like all the staff are but still develop stuff that is bad?

  10. After last year's 20th Anniversary Slap-In-The-Face hot tub by the Sims team, I was pretty much ho-hum about this year's anniversary gift. I mean, 21st anniversary. Yet another bar? But then I saw that Luumia took part in this. I whooped so loudly my neighbors down the street probably heard me. WOO! BODY HAIR?!! Yes please! 😀
The Sim gurus have acknowledged the talents of CC creators many times, and I've also seen a Tweet a while back saying they wanted to implement body hair in the game. They included several CC creators (like Xmiramira) for new hairstyles and skintones. I see the inclusion of CC creators as a Pro. I think it's great that they're allowing recognition for their creations, and allowing console players access to some things PC users take for granted. I hope they're also including Kijiko's eyelashes. I just can't see a downside to officially adding beloved CC to the game.
Really what this comes down to is, this is an ANNIVERSARY GIFT the Sims team decided to give us. No doubt to make up for last year's fiasco. I think it's going to be objects, or CAS items. Just nice little additions to the game. I think they'll deal with bug fixes separately, which is just fine with me.

  11. Erin, just wanted to point out a hint of bodyhair that happen in the livestream of Paranormal stuff pack, at least it is one for me as in the chat I wasnt the only one think about it. Around 1:20:40 simguruRad was showing the male Cas assets, discussing how all the tops were pretty opened, and talking about the new necklace that was add later during the developpement etc… The way they talked, it almost look like the three of them were thinking of bodyhair (in development) but hide it behind that so NICE necklace, like they put a lot of emphase on it.

Plus when she says, that it was so open and needed to add … a necklace… one of the simguru kind of choke on the microphone, like if he was thinking she would reveal bodyhair^^.

And simguruNinja said "Yeah, I have been putting it on all of my sims lately"… (like if he was talking of bodyhair instead of the necklace… why would you put that same necklace on all of your sims anyway?? ^^)

And finally the chat, was crazy and calling for bodyhair, so I am not the only one that though about it obviously.

  12. What I'd like to see. They hired 21 CC creators right? So how about a free stuff pack of 21 items each representing a year. (2000, 2001 etc). Example, in 2000 the PS2 was released. In 2001 Apple launched the iPod. I gotta say, I'm seeing a trend from EA that I very much approve of. #YouMakeTheSims. Hiring cc creators, hiring game changers for pack builds and if that job ad is for Sims 5, I'm wondering if EA themselves will make tools for creating cc available with the Sims 5 launch and even expanding the gallery to include cc. It would be the perfect compromise to the create a style from Sims 3 which caused so many problems with the game.

  13. I think it will be focused on CAS/BuildBuy. They said the collaborated with CC creators not modders so the idea of some huge base game overhaul is unlikely. I think bunk beds are a possibility since we know CC creators have done this successfully before. That being said I would also be happy with just some cool CAS clothes and hairstyles, simple counters and couches with matching loveseats and chairs.

  14. On the one hand, if content creators are bringing us something for the Anniversary, it will probably be very good. On the other hand, it's extremely sad that the makers of this game that claim to love it sooooo much, can't get their pooh together and create it themselves. We;ll see.

  15. Well the translation of the french is kinda wrong. It doesnt say designers/creators it says creators twice once for females and once for males, in french like in many other languages their are gender markers in words. So once you remove the mistranslation it literally says the same thing it says in the sims english post. Except for the question cuz the french one asks “what was your first experience with the sims?” While the English one asked “what is your favorite thing about the sims community?”

  16. I feel like it will be another free stuff pack, kind of like the holiday one. It would be nice if they could collab OFTEN with CC creators to sort of add on to a free stuff pack like that. But mostly I am just hoping for them to fix the existing problems with the game, especially on console.

  18. I’m hoping these will be base game like the hot tub, I’m a console player and seeing people who’ve had most of these on other platforms make me feel like I’m missing out on the full experience of the sims 4.
