They could add a "Desired map" option list in the main menu near the "Play" button (Or something like that before you enter in the queue).
So, if you pick a map from the list, the matchmaking system will be much more likely to put you in a match that has that map. By letting players decide before entering a match, they could avoid the "Everyone voted this map that I hate" situation which was mentioned in the video.

once I played 11 games in a day and 9 of them were split, this was a mix of comp and unrated games and was maybe 2 months ago.
I PLAYED 15 matches on breeze yesterday
The reason why map bans isnt there is because You have to be overall good in everymap
Otherwise people aill dominate on their favorite map and wont play maps like Breeze ever !

1st – Ascent, Split, Icebox
2nd – Haven, Bind, Breeze
So if anyone want to play ASCENT they will have to queue for 3 maps and not for 6

I think map bans is a good idea but map picking is a bad idea as we all know there will always be those sh*t who will pick the same map and learn all lineups and only play that map to annoy other players but everyone opinions might differ

I don’t think map bans would work, unless there were more maps. As there are ten plays who get to ban one map it wouldn’t work out as there are only 6 maps

I personally think that they should make a system that it lists all the map and make players choose the map that they want to play, and lock the map instantly and the way to unlock the same map is to play other maps ( perhaps after like other 2,3 maps) and so on.
This will allow more flexibility to customers and allow people to less stress about having too much same map, and also giving riot their control over people spending too much games on one map
What's so tough to just not let you get the same map ever? Not once? It seems so simple. Just let me feel something new bro. Costs server power? Uhh.. I think every map has a spot and should be played. I've had the same map repeat multiple times in a row, but despite it being annoying, I'm always willing to play any map. I worry that if picks and bans existed, I wouldn't have as many chances to play maps like breeze and icebox. They're already my least played maps cause people always dodge them. I feel like you want to play all the maps if you want to improve, and having picks and bans would only make maps like icebox and breeze even less played.
