You are a space engineer in charge of a project launched by the space alliance COSMO, tasked with a massive undertaking: constructing a Dyson
Sphere, a megastructure that would orbit around a star, harnessing all its
power and energy. Only a few decades ago it was considered a hypothetical, impossible invention – but now it’s in your hands… if you can manage to develop this space workshop in some galactic backwater into a galaxy-wide industrial production empire!
ABOUT EARLY ACCESS
While the core mechanics of Dyson Sphere Program are ready, the game still can grow and evolve a lot – and Early Access is just the perfect place for it to reach its true potential. We believe that by letting players experience the main content of Dyson Sphere Program and actively interacting with them to collect their feedback will allow us to improve the game and make it much better than it would be without this Early Access stage. Our plans are for this EA stage to be about 1 year long. But that is not written in stone

Could you not take and place hydrogen on the same line, and then loop it around with a priority filter with excess going into the logistics system?

About the issue with refined-oil not being distributed: I think the vessels are kinda stupid to get working right. So far I had great success with: leave the single station in a chain (in your case the provider of refined oil) w/o any drones and only put drones in the requester stations. This way 4×50 will pull the refined oil out. If the provider has drones, they will have priority and stop the other stations from sending out and grabbing stuff. I didn't try it with oil, but that's the way I feed my smelterplanet: stations getting ore from many mines won't have drones (they don't even need power) and once I had that setup, all mining-stations send ore in. On the other end, after smelting, I also have removed the drones and only put them where the bars are needed and so these pull the materials out as well. Before there were only the 50 from the requesting station, and they were simply overwhelmed with grabbing from all the different sources. Works with interplanetary vessels as well, I only have vessels in provider-stations that supply warpers, buildings, etc.. when dealing with materials, only the requesters have vessels.
It might not seem worthwhile setting up an input buffer to your oil build just yet, but I definitely recommend doing so.
As you expand out further than ~10LY travel time becomes quite lengthy in that you can deplete before being resupplied.
I noticed it on a large deuterium requester, as I had gone out putting gas giant harvesters on every gas giant within 20LY.
I now have 3 towers requesting, and having a belt from each into the same buffer.
It is a little overkill, but it means I don't have to do much planning in request ranges.
For a future project, it'd be probably cool to try and build a small Dyson sphere around the black hole, I saw a time-lapse of one but it wasn't easy to see it haha

thax for adresing the spliter issue, i thought you were consuming 30 sience per second thats way i dident think it would keep up but since it only consumes 10 it all makes sense. the sience towers look amazing as always

At the oil processing planet, is it worthwhile to burn the excess hydrogen from X-ray cracking? You already have infinity hydrogen, and you just don’t want it to get clogged, so you can forget it for the rest of the play through
How do you delete whole lines of belts like that?
My Tipp with autoclick also works on mass deleting quickly 😉

Your xray setup you did a while back locks up if it gets backed up to the point where it shuts down, btw
do you really need the hydrogen? you need 2 for the process, and make 3 and 1 graphite, but you need 1 and 1 graphite combo for red science, meaning you are left with 2.. which is what you needed to start it(so it's a closed circuit, you never need to input(except for the initial 2 per machine to start, then it just spew that 2 out over and over) or output any hydrogen if it all goes into red science).
I think the hashes are more complicated than "white cubes are X hashes each" and are more like Factorio, where some researches take one red science every 10 seconds, and some take one red science every 20 seconds. It's the same number of red science going in, but some research take twice as long as it is "half the speed". I think it is similar here. Most of the research is the same rate, but some (like the research speed upgrades) take twice as long (twice the number of hashes) even though they use "half the resources" expected. Hopefully that makes sense.
You probably already know this, but I accidentally paved an ocean I was pumping water out of, and it kept pumping.. so you could in theory make some very clean builds that need liquids.

awesome series. been slowly making my way though the game myself, after copying some of your builds my production/progression has doubled in some areas. only just reached green cubes and warpers and your polar temple is just amazing.
Hello! Can someone tell me how I can do that fast side-by-side placement? There is supposed to be a hotkey for it I think, and Nilaus talked about it in an earlyer video, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. It would help a lot in planetwide solar placement…
i want to see it fulling running at 30 per second and than expanded to the point where it starts to slow game down.
Had a question about the potential for other hydrogen and graphite sources to pollute the red science demand. Is it possible in this configuration that hydrogen could be requested from somewhere else, causing cracking to slow, causing graphite to slow and be compensated for by another planet? Then causing this cracking build to run slower than you would like? In my build i had the cracking build dedicated to science for this reason. I love the build, but would have made red science on that planet too. If anyone knows why i may be incorrect please illuminate me

The hashes thing is really confusing, some of the early techs have the same cube requirements, but suddenly those cubes give a different amount of hashes. So early game if you are trying to get a certain science/min your labs are sometimes suddenly stalling. Research is so easy in this game though that it doesnt really matter (we really need a marathon mode) but its still unintuitive.
Yeah the timelapses are better with music.
If we could harness the energy of complaints, we'd jump to a Type 2 Civilization overnight
Love your series on this. A request though… would it be possible for you to do a quick video going over the hotkeys you use? For example, how did you pick up stuff and drop it out of your inventory? How do you select an entire beltway and delete it? When placing belts, how do you get it to snap the opposite direction? Keep up the good work, sir.
You need to try out the 'AdvancedBuildDestruct' mod, it works wonders with the 'CopyInserters' mod and allows you to easily place multiple buildings like you have been doing and from my experience it has been very stable so far.
Can you do a flyby of your dyson sphere? Ive forgotten what it looks like!
