The GTA V VR mod on Oculus Quest works perfectly, sadly it doesn't work wirelessly via the Virtual Desktop setup but with a link cable it is an amazing experience! Give it a go for one of the best VR experiences out there!

Its great but i felt really sick afterwards. i think it was the smooth turning causing it
I tried it and it ether crashes or I get a black screen. I can see the maps and the menu system works fine. everything else is black.
Is this still the one where it renders frames one eye at at time? (Alternating)

What I don't get – if a single guy managed to make a great VR mod like this in his spare time.. how come companies like Rockstar don't put some time in released a VR option? I was hoping they would after LA Noir VR, I also remember some new about them teasing about a new VR game but I never heard anything about it after that.

I just got this set up today too. It's awesome with the Quest 2's total lack of screen door effect. I also installed the "Make Visuals Great Again" which makes it easier to see further towards the horizon. Makes things even more crisp.

I kid you not!!!! I did this about 5 years ago with a samsung s6 vr headset, managed to get a app on my phone and pc which link phone to pc wirelessly. Took me about 20 mins setting it up and tweaking it. But i ended up playing gta 4 in vr and the best thing was, no wires.
My pc isn't good enough to play VR but it's good enough to play gta5 will I still be able to play it??

I tried this before this past Spring, the mod makes GTA 5 run like crap, the game was unstable, unless they have fixed the mod since early this year, GTA 5 wasn't a good vr experience at all when I tried it this past Spring
I have all the specs to run this game with the oculus quest 2 on my PC. The game loads and I select story mode then it just crashes every time. any ideas how to fix?

This, and Cyberpunk 2077 (when they decide to fix it) would be some of the best, if not the best VR games available if they had official VR support and you could use the oculus controllers and play it like you would HL Alyx or boneworks. Unfortunately gta runs like shit on my pc, and I haven’t bought Cyberpunk 2077 yet, because it’s broken.
I have i5 9600k (i9-9900k arrives in a few hours), a 2070 Super and 16GB ram, yet I can only play gta at ~40FPS on all low settings, 1080p.
It only uses ~50% of my CPU and ~10% of my GPU.
Stupid game refuses to use the hardware it has available.

for god sake don't do this mod if you play online, even if you install and remove files after playing story mode, there are files that will be altered ,and you will get banned , as soon as i tried to play online again i got a warning that there were files in my directory that should not be there ,ect …scripthook v is not something you want to play with. and then go online, it's like instaban!!
