Project L, the League of Legends fighter getting ready for showtime? Riot sending out invites!

The last time we heard anything about Project L, it was october of 2019. Things are stirring at Riot games it would seem with them handing fighting game related surveys, is the time for the League of Legends fighting game to debut soon, perhaps at evo!?

Big thanks to https://twitter.com/theSkilledRoy for breaking the news!

  1. Long time since we had anything to talk about Project L wise and now here we are! Sure its not a gameplay reveal or anything, but considering how utterly secretive they have been since we have known its a thing, it looks like things are finally moving forward and they are gearing up to show the game to the public, even if its only a select few. I personally have been waiting on this game for a long time since riot does quality, I love the league universe/characters, and its basically a shoe-in for best netcode of all time since the creator of GGPO himself is one of the head honchos on the game.

  2. I think we will probably get this game this year with the beta starting immediately after Evo this year and the game fully releasing in October 2 years after it was announced. just look at valorant it was announced in October then the beta came out in april and 2 months after it was fully released and after the success of the twitch drops I could even see the codes being linked to watching evo depending on how evo will be shown this year

  3. So glad this is a game. My friends and I all play league but hardly any of them play fighting games. Kinda hope specials are single button inputs with cooldowns (like Rising Thunder) so it's easier for them to get in to.

  4. It's very promising, and I'm hopeful because since there are so many LoL fans, it's unlikely the game will be "dead upon arrival" like most other fighting games where there's practically no one online to play against. Hopefully a lot of the many many LoL fans will get more interested in fighting games overall.

  5. But can we talk about a potential Fiddlesticks character? Weak in every regard but with a super powerful super. Now that's the brainless gameplay I strive for

  6. If I get my golden duo in Kayle and Pantheon, im happy. Kind of hope this game has a massive roster with smaller yet precise movelist (similar to Smash). LOL has too many cool characters for a fighting game.

  7. The problem with fighting games is that it costs a buttload of money (60$) to buy and that you end up worrying if the community for that fighting game will last, since look at Uniclr and such, Their online is somewhat dead, you need to wait for like 15-20 minutes to find a game, Now that project L is coming out and it's F2P + Riot being a world class company with Iconic IP's will make this game a breakthrough in Fighting games genre🙏

  8. It's also worth noting that the cannon's created GGPO. The authority in online fighting game netcode. You can be sure that riot's fighting game will preform like a dream online allowing for people to play across the US and even maybe atleast be playable across oceans.

I'm hoping the game does well and i'm looking forward to it.
