I’ve had the PS5 since launch week. Got the Xbox Series X about 10 days ago.

They are BOTH amazing consoles; just wonderful.

But my heart- I’m starting to find- belongs to the Series X.

I didn’t see that coming! DAMN!

Let’s discuss! 🙂

  1. I think if anything this new generation and Switch are showing its that probably for the first time, There's a reason to have every system which I don't ever think has really been a thing, like i am in no way an XBOX guy at all but even I have considered a Series S and I might even get one if iv the money. Well if I had a lot of money I would get Series X but ya get what i mean. This gen there is something for everyone, its not a case of just getting one over the other. Like if i could only pick 1, it would PS5 al the way but my gaming wouldn't be the same without a Switch also. And my laptop as well of course, now more than ever, there are multiple ways to game and its always good to have access to more than 1 🙂

  2. 10 second faster loading vs AAA exclusives, dualsense, vr, 3rd party ff16, guilty gear, mmmm nope thanks. Ur perspective comes from having both consoles. Sell ps5 as proof. Note in a milion years, right? 😉 Ppl dont appreciate what they already have. And its very human

  3. Quick Resume is revolutionary ? who the hell plays 2-3 games at once ? are you shi**ing me ?
PS5 has NEW UI and it has NEW controller and runs games better than XBox. now you explain to me how IGN gave both consoles score of 8 ?
2021 is one of the best playstation years if we talk about exclusives games. Ratchet & Clank alone is reason to get PS5 and I never played R&C game

  4. Funny, I was literally thinking exactly this over the weekend.
There are few times a product has made me think "omg I love this". I'm not even a console player, but this Xbox made me feel that way this weekend. I was just there, downloading random games I know nothing about on a Friday night, the same way you give a try random shows in Netflix, while switching literally instantly over my top 4 games I play….all without spending a dime outside of gamespass, or getting bored while games load.

  5. The quick switch is a nice feature but with so little storage and the internal expansion storage being so expensive and also small in capacity you can't really take full advantage of it for a reasonable price.

  6. I'm starting to think the Xbox Series X might be better than the PS5.
Edit: I'm mainly a PC gamer but if I want to rent games from the library or exclusives, I'm leaning for Xbox.

  7. I'm kind of jaded on the PS exclusives because they are getting a bit stale. Out of all their exclusives Death Stranding was the only one that tried something new and "risky".
Microsoft picked my interest because the gamepass reminds me of the old days of going to a game store or blockbuster and renting games for the weekend, since i didn't had money to buy games because they were expensive. With gamepass you can try games before buying them and that's a big deal. Out of all 20 games i have on PS4, only 3 i finished (Bloodborne, God of War and Death Stranding) and out of those 3, God of War i played only once because there's no replay value (and those forced walking sections makes everything even worse, thanks TLOU).
And seeing Microsoft investing in studios like Obsidian or GSC (S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2) gives me hope to see something new and fresh. Forza Horizon is a blast to enjoy in short bursts and i'm hopeful to see what they do with Fable (The map on Horizon 4 was fantastic to drive around in different weather seasons), Sunset Overdrive was fun as hell and The Medium looks like a return to the classic atmosphere of the old school horror games like Silent Hill (Even with the fixed camera angles).
And to top it off it's all coming to PC.

  8. I disagree.

QuickResume is just a system software feature. Sony can add this any time. They just made a different call in regards of not reusing PS4's system software which will require more effort than XBox's approach. I wouldn't be surprised if we see QuickResume within 2021 on PS5. Maybe when the expansion SSD port gets activated. It's basically pausing a game, and copying it's RAM, cache, and registers to disc.

PS+'s free games easily beat GamePass (GP) for those who are longtime PS+ subscribers. GP to me is like NetFlix where it happens that at the time I got some spare time on hand to watch the show/movie my wife recommended to me, those items have disapeared from the collection. My PS+ games will always stay in my library, and I will have access to them whenever I am subscribed to PS+.

  9. The PS5 has the game switcher and PS Now and has far better games now and will have for the foreseeable near future. I gave up on Xbox after the Xbox One… they have a lot to prove for me as a gamer.

  10. seems like a lot of people either compare it to pc or just doesn't understand this is a very nice feature to have. I mean if you are a one game person or only online game type person so be it its not for you. but most people has at least 4+ downloaded games and if you're a person who like to change it up and don't just like shooters or sports games this will be great for you. been hoping between doom eternal mk11 gta San andreas and dmc 5 like crazy and its been great.

  11. Nice analysis of quick resume, like a Vegas buffet LOL but the question is, what if in the future this Vegas buffet starts serving the Same quality “Fine dining” that PS5 serves..? Or better? With all the money and creative freedom their offering their studios, it could at least come close; (and I heard they’re working on some kind of carousel quick resume feature for the future)

  12. Quick Resume only works with few games. It’s a hit and miss. How is that a feature you are touting when it’s not universally compatible? Do you want to check each game and try it is it?

  13. I can't in good faith buy the new Xbox. There just aren't games for it and I solely base my purchase on exclusives. I'd rather make a good PC and play the multiplats on that. After years of Sony and Nintendo, I broke off from Nintendo because of the Wii and went with Xbox as my secondary console. I literally had a year where I didn't buy any exclusive title. That sucked. I bought Outer Worlds, Doom Eternal and Hitman 2 on it just to keep it relevant for me.
