  1. So the next generation of PlayStation VR has been officially announced and it sounds pretty awesome in my opinion. Will you be buying PSVR2 for PS5 when it eventually launches? What next-gen VR games would you want to see on it?

  2. Today, Sony has revealed that more PlayStation titles are on the way to PC according to Jim Ryan. Speaking to GQ magazine in an interview that discussed the next generation of its PlayStation VR headset, Ryan stated that a “whole slate of them is on the way starting with Days Gone this spring.”7 hours ago

Am I the only one that saw this coming ?

  3. Hey MBG, I'm a day one adopter of the first PSVR, and I would challenge anybody to show me a better gaming experience than the first time you drop into the cockpit of an X-wing in the Battlefront VR mission, or more lately in Star Wars Squadrons. As one of the guys here has just said, VR is a gimmick…until you try it. Man, do yourself a favour, find a friend with Squadrons or Eve Valkyrie and try it out. It's awesome. Then try the FNAF Help Wanted game, lol, brown pants time, lol. I'm already starting my PSVR2 savings kitty!!!

  4. I loved my PSVR. Only problem I wasn’t happy with was the cable swapping bullshit because of the launch version not passing HDR. Got round it with an HDR 4K splitter but that meant even more cables for the unit.

  5. Just bought the megapack PSVR version 2 bundle with AstroBot, VR Worlds, everybody golf and Blood & truth back in December but haven't got around to trying it yet. Now i feel it's better for me to wait for the PS5 PSVR2 as it has 1 cable connection, improved resolution and tracking also better improvements overall.

  6. I have the psvr and one major flaw was the under powered ps4 /ps4 pro. i received the adapter from Sony for the ps5 like 2 weeks after they announced they would be supplying this adapter for free. i am very happy with it and Sony has some great games which i didn't understand the question " will there be games at launch?" because there is a ton of really great psvr games iron man vr comes to mind great graphics good game . looks even better on ps5. stability was an issue on ps4 which makes you sick. Now the frame rate is stable. devs could do 60 fps it would fell amazing .

  7. Honestly was thinking it was going to be wireless just streamed from the console using the whole WiFi 6 but I'm used to using my quest using the link cable with pc so doesn't really bother me I'm more excited to see those controllers after what they done with the dual sense

  8. Its gonna have to be very good to compete with the wireless oculus quest 2. I think its a big mistake not going wireless because the one i have now seemingly only has one wire after you set it up and that one wire is a total pain in my a$$ its in the way no matter what you do….

  9. I just realized the genius of Jim Ryan. The PS4 exclusives releasing on PC, will have VR modes patched-in (if you take the types of games they have ported for PC so far, they can work on VR with little changes). They are making the PSVR2 market larger to span PS5+PC. If it's a Sony first-party game on PC, it will have VR. The dualsense-tech on VR controllers can even mean a direction to make the game modes PSVR2 exclusive — at the PSVR2 launch date, they could have a full catalog of exclusive VR experiences.

  10. So many PS games going to Microsoft Windows, you know Horizon Zero Dawn too will also.. the future is all PS games going to Microsoft Windows. Recently someone at Sony said it makes more sense as games cost more to make today and so going to PC gets that money back..

  11. I know that I'm speculating here, but the single cord setup may be to interface the PS5 and a device that carries out the necessary VR specific processing as well as transmitting to and receiving from the headset and controller! It would make the most sense to have a wireless headset in this day and age!

  12. I think they will offer a wireless adapter for those willing to pay more and take the experience to the next level. The point about the wire was just to illustrate the ease of use mentality moving forward

  15. vr is really the future of gaming, had it for about a year on pc now and i cant wait for more people to get access to it, (probably wont happen) but i hope a game like vrchat gets released on it and is cross play because some of the interactions you can have on there are like nothing else

  16. Personally my hope is at least 1920X1080 per eye, minimum of 120Hz, though 240Hz, using newer OLED for potentially more vibrant and brighter images.

I'd like the cord to be detachable in the headset, so they can make it possible for wireless to be added in the future, maybe some kind of battery and chrome cast style module tech.
Include the new motion controllers with the headset, which have haptic feedback.
Tap into the Tempest Audio Engine too, for better audio immersion.
Obviously they've mentioned Foviated Rendering, so they have the ability to track where your eyes are looking and render full details where you're focusing, but reduce graphical load on parts of the image that are in your peripheral vision.
The resolution could be higher, but even the added pixel density full 1080p per eye will look much more crisp.

I'm excited after experiencing the current PSVR tech, which is great, so the upgrades should make the experience much better.

  17. I love my PSVR and glad to basically hear confirmation they are moving forward and not abandoning like handheld… Sure wireless would be amazing but 1 cord and new controllers is enough for me and better resolution… I am sold… Now to just find a PS5 by next year maybe LoL
