So cool that I was able to contribute to this new skin line!

The pose idea was taken from Zed’s recall animation. We struggled a lot in this because of the difficult pose paired with the complex costume design and effects. It was also very challenging to figure out the poses of the characters in the background. I looked at lots of different comic characters to get ideas.

I modeled the weapons in 3D to help me then I just painted over it to make it a bit more natural looking. This piece probably had the most revisions ever for me. I ended up with too many layers which made things a bit complex. Next time, I’ll just merge more stuff.

Thanks again to everyone who helped!

  1. Gah! I love the PsyOPS Effects! The dripping aura under the blade is soooo amazing!

I have noticed that you are really becoming a beast at making splash arts. Even the rough sketch was approved immediately even if the background wasn't drawn out precisely. Inspiring as always!

  3. Hi Deiv , I was just wondering how do you convert the grayscale concept of the piece to colored ..I was having this kind of trouble ever since I've been doing Grayscale pieces.
