People that play highly mechanical champs, or just people that are good at the game in general tend to be more toxic, because they are not used to losing games.

I love One Trick Darius's on my team, but I DESPISE them on the enemy team.
They're just so full of themselves and most of them TRULY believe that pressing R 5 times to get a Penta takes skill.
They just get on my nerves, and they're extremely toxic.

I'm a kindred main and i think i can partly justify it because it can be one of the strongest carries if the team cares a bit (tho i'm not trying to defend those guys that start insulting because they didn't helped them)
As a former Garen main I am very confused by my "coinflip status". The toxic champs are typically mechanically complex, which gives them an inflated ego, or fustrates and tilts them when they mess up a simple trick. Complex one-tricks can be so focused on themselves that they fail to see how much harm they are doing.
Garen doesn't give you any room to grow an ego, you will be laughed at and bullied every time someone sees your 600,000+ mastery. You don't one trick Garen to show off your mad skills, you do it because he is fun and that is all that matters.
