Refining Oil and Making Red Science in Dyson Sphere Program | Part 7

Bentham heads out to the southern oil fields of Delta Bootis IV to begin gathering oil for refinement! Plasma refining creates refined oil, for later use, and hydrogen, which cobines with graphite to make the energy matrix, the red science component! As research once again gets underway, Bentham started overhauling the furnace array, but realises partway through a better configuration to switch to.

  1. the more i see you working on a "main bus", the more it feels pointless in this game to actually put in the effort to do one.
    but future will tell.
and starting to watch, i wonder if you have already fixed the foundation factory ๐Ÿ˜‰ (*edit: ah, all three are working, must have missed that last time)

  2. Bentham- been really enjoying these episodes, always sad to see them end. Honestly I think since there's so much to do, you may be better off with hour-long episodes, I know I'd watch them for sure.

  3. @ManglePork if you got annoying resources on the ground that are in the way.
you can use the terrain tool to "bury" them and if you ever need them again you can "unbury" them (after removing whatever it was you built over them)
very useful so you dont have to wait for miners to take away everything. (which takes forever)

  4. The first fluid technology, fluid encapsulation, is specifically the ability to put liquids and gases into cubes, so I don't think they're planning on changing it. They also have a nifty fluid shader if you zoom in on them (it's hard to see on the crude).
