Resident Evil Village Lore – The Lords

Resident Evil Village has fascinating villains who will attempt to rip Ethan’s face off. Dave explores what we know and the lore behind Alvina Dimitrescu, Donna Beneviento and Angie, Salvatore Moreau, Karl Heisenberg, and of course, Mother Miranda. It’s time for some Resident Evil Village Lore.

Early on in Resident Evil: Village, Ethan is thrown into the wolf’s den, and you get a glimpse of the Lords who await you. I was immediately intrigued by their design and wanted to know more – especially after waking up with a creepy doll in my face. So, here is the lore of Resident Evil: Village’s main villains.

It’s important to start with Miranda and the Cadou, as her tale will help explain the rest of the four lords.

Alcina Dimitrescu was the 181st subject who Miranda experimented on, and as Miranda herself notes, her Cadou Affinity was “Most favorable.”

  1. wish they had more build up playing re4 again and love how each boss as more build up and mini bosses before you finaly have a big fight. lady D and Donna should have been in the game longer.

  2. The Spencer connection was so forced. Somethings breaks the immersion while trying to bring the game universe together.

I still don't understand how the baby was alive and completed again. I was chocked and it was sad, creepy and tragically good that they took parts of Rose.

  3. I refunded village 🤷‍♂️.

RE7 and village are the 2 weaker games in the series…… Good games but not resident evil games. It's like assassins creed odyssey, it's a good game just doesn't fit. RE7 and village would be good as either a mini series or a whole separate game

  4. Very well done thanks! Question, Do you think that the Duke on of my favorite's is just a resident of evil, and where did he come from? How did he move along roads that were no longer there? I would be most interested in your thoughts about him. Thanks in advance!!

  5. While the game was good, I think the areas should have been more fleshed out.
The castle area is over before it really even beginns, while Lady D chases you for arguably half an hour of gameplay. The daughters boss fights were very dissapointing, same trick to it, as you are lead convieniently to rooms with windows and wall-cracks to open them for some fresh air.
The Beneviento House and Moreau should have lasted far longer. Especially Moreau, as he serves you the flask on a silver plater basically and then you just hop on a boat and fight him after draining the water.
On a second playthrough you notice just how short these areas are.
RE8 takes about 9-10 hrs to complete the first time around. I think with some more world building, better puzzles and boss fights, this could have been extended to 15 hours, which would have given them enough time to fully flesh out every character.

  6. I think we will see a lore piece for every lord as a DLC. The characters are WAY too fleshed out to not do this. Seeing what tests moreau did, heisenbergs plans, donnas and dimetrescu's past would be really cool.
