Resident Evil 8 presents a grimly beautiful collection of killer horror set-pieces, with some of the most memorably grotesque enemies in Resi history.

  1. RE: 7 was my first experience with the franchise and I loved it. Tried to play the RE: 2 remake and couldn't stand it, too much traversing back and forth through the same parts of a level over and over again to get new keys/codes..etc. RE: 8 on the other hand, looks like more of what I enjoyed about RE: 7, so I'll be picking this one up.

I have a high-end gaming PC, XSX, and PS5, and I'm guessing the PC version will probably be best overall. Hopefully Digital Foundry does one of their comparisons between all versions (I know they already did one for the demo on the consoles).

  2. I'm debating whether to play this on my ps5 or PC. I have a 3080 but was disappointed by how the demo was optimized. I heard it was built for the ps5 in mind so maybe its best to go with that.

  3. You channel is called "PC Gamer." You should mention the game's performance — how it runs and its stability. Also, you failed to mention the absolutely horrible narrow FOV and the exclusion of a FOV slider. For this to be considered a good PC port it needs to have a FOV slider, TOGGLE RMB AIM/ADS (instead of holding the RMB to aim), and hold shift to sprint (instead of toggle); these features should be included in the game, day one. I do appreciate the ultra wide support.

  4. Not sure if the voice over is slow for a spooky effect or the guy just isn’t all that interested but if the latter, IT’S A GAME, not some dreary true crime murder mystery
