Resident Evil Village [Standard] (Pt. 1) – Ladies of the Castle

Thanks to the developers for the key!

So I started on Hardcore and had a real heck of a time figuring out the first encounter. The triggers for it seemed kinda weird, so we started metagaming how exactly to get it to proceed, but ultimately we just pushed it to normal and moved on. Outside of that first encounter, everything has been great! Hope you enjoy it. — Watch live at https://www.twitch.tv/lobosjr

  1. It's some weird monkey paw shit where the nightmare reality beset by zombies and werewolves and vampires is also the reality where some seemingly common herbs and chemicals can make "first-aid" medicine that heals any injury. Imagine if you could just make a panacea by mixing some oregano and bleach.

  2. I've never been into these games really mainly because 17 bullets to the head in standard just seems repetitive, I get people can find that appealing but not me. How does this one have such high reviews?

Every time something happens I'm just scratching my head. Not even story wise 100%. Some of the story is dumb like Ethan talking to a woman with human skulls on her staff rather than being concerned, Ethan seems to just accept everything honestly and it seems weird. Just say "what the fuck" every time and it'll be more believable! Barricading the doors with shelves, the doors open the other way! They can use tools/weapons and ride horses but can't open the door and push the shelf over despite throwing Ethan, an adult male, around like a dummy (both definitions in this case). I'm not even that big of a nitpicker honestly this just seems like common sense stuff.

This was all I observed in the first 50 minutes, I hope it gets better lol

  3. I'm not sure what's going on with the graphics/lighting. Everything has a grey wash to it – the highlights look light grey and the shadows look dark grey, and there are what look like compression artifacts in a lot of the shadowy areas. I get that Lobos might not have the bestest most premium setup, but presumably his is at least average.

  4. the way he is moving his mouse makes me think he is amongst the thousands of casualties who couldn't find the proper mouse sense setting. I am 2 hours in and he still waggles it like it is super low. Lobos are you this casualty?

  5. that first encounter is basically the same as the one in resident evil 5. you have to survive in a barricaded area until a big guy with an axe comes and breaks the fence, then survive in a bigger area. i liked the one in res5 way better because the objective was much clearer.

  6. Damn I'm so disappointed, this is unwatchable, Capcom are mental for not including a FOV in options in a first person game. It's terrible in-game (fixed with a mod though!) but I don't get motion sickness playing but when watching it in this video it's making me feel stupidly sick almost instantly.
