  1. If Sakurai were to do his own Mario game, what genre would you want to see him tackle?

I think it’d be cool to see him do a Mario RPG like Mario and Luigi and Classic Paper Mario. I mean look at the plot to Kid Icarus Uprising.

  2. It’s nice to hear Sakurai be positive about it and give a perspective on its development as a developer himself. I’m not trying to excuse the bugs or anything, I just think it’s an interesting and fresh take.

  3. Personally, I can't agree with Sakurai on his praise. On top of the glitches & bigotry present in Cyberpunk 2077 (both within & outside of the game, though this specification mainly applies to the bigotry such as racism & transphobia), there are clear issues that can't be fixed with patches. And to be honest, I'm disappointed that Sakurai is giving the game a pass. Though I understand that he's far from the only one. And it is nice to hear some perspective on the development of the game from a developer. But it should also be noted that CDPR was abusing their employees throughout development.

  4. Really interesting take from the guy. Thanks for the translation. He understands more than most people what dedication this type of game takes and the toll that it takes.
