I wanted to explore this game since I played it the other day. It came a part of some random cartridge that holds a ton of ROMS for my GBA. When I first played it I knew that this game was never released for the GBA due to it being made in 1986. The game play is typical of this era but what’s even more amazing is the music. The compositions are fantastic, so much so that I plan on listening to more music by this specific composer. This is a beat making video, with a little background from the history of the game (very similar to vinyl slim). I made this beat entirely on the Akai MPC Live 2. Everything was processed through the Live 2, including FX’s. No help from my S950 or 404SX this time around. The MPC Live 2 and all the other MPC’s ever made are king of chopping samples. There is something so organic from it, its almost like playing an instrument. Chopping this sample was a breeze and I didn’t have to tune it to hard to make it sound on point. I didn’t get to crazy with the effects or the arrangement within the MPC. Just a simple Boombap/LOFI Hip-hop type beat. Someone to spit some bars too haha, I hope you guys enjoy the video! Thanks for watching.
