Armor toggle, aka customization toggling is a fresh new feature in MCC. But should it be limited to MCC alone? Maybe not. I explain why.

Armor toggling will be introduced to Halo The Master Chief Collection on January 27th, 2021. The new feature allows players to hide the new Halo Online armor being added to Halo 3. Will Halo Infinite have armor toggle? Should Infinite have customization toggle? I discuss the reasons why people might ask for armor toggle in Halo Infinite and let you decide what should happen when Halo Infinite releases Fall of 2021.

Abstract Art is probably still appliable when it comes to Armor Customization.
I've seen a lot of people say that there shouldn't be a toggle because it would mean that people that don't like your armor don't have to see it. I think you should probably care more about what your own character looks like rather than what other strangers see. On the topic of a toggle in infinite, I'm fine without it but it could be a nice feature for those that care about it. If anything it could add even more options because you could make it so everyone in your match wears fotus or whatever crazy armor you want. Reminds me of how you can mod left 4 dead 2 so all your friends look like wacky characters or the zombies look like the flood or something.
A toggle for infinite would make no sense to me. It makes sense for 3 because they're adding armour sets that weren't in the original and, yeah, it makes a lot of sense, but infinite, No, an armor toggle makes no sense for it.
No. They should not be in Infinite. If the Xbox was able to run games like RDR2 on a stable framerate then there is no need for Toggle option to be there as a "Performance Enhancer" alot of technical stuff is going on in the consoles like variable rate shading and also decreasing the resolution of the stuff which is more farther away this already helps the performance enough. 1080p60 is the base xbox one's target and it can hit that with upscaling and what not.
As this is a new game the ability to turn off particular armor sets will just annoy people and would be a lot of work for something so insignificant which almost no one will use and will only hinder the experience of fans and increase the work load alot on 343I.
Im fine with a toggle for Infinite, If you dont like the armors you dont have to look at them, if you like the armors thats fine keep it on. Someone turning them off wouldnt effect somone who wants them on's gaming experience what so ever. It would actually probably help becaused then people who dont like alot of 343s art style wouldnt really have a reason to complain about it because they dont have to look at it. I dont see how it would be "insulting" to the devs who made it because plenty of people still rock default, even in the MCC despite there being everything unlocked. In H4 and H5 (in H5 i rocked the Default armor to lvl 146) would a dev be insulted by someone chosing another devs armor over their own? Someone still designed it.
I facepalmed myself when I saw this video title
Nah, I'm good. I might not like Halo 4/5s Armor designs, but if you pretend Halo 4/5s designs don't exist, then you'd be ignoring a considerable hunk of Halo as a whole
The idea that people could Opt out of the existence of something it a scary thought. Everyone living in their little bubble, dismissing anyone/anything they don't like…
"Wait what where we talking about again? Oh Halo. Yeah just give me some cool ergonomic armours with ammo pouches." Lol
Good points man, you honestly changed my view on the matter🤘
Absolutely not. And honestly there shouldn’t even be a toggle in MCC. The fact people feel personally attacked by 343 adding new armour to Halo 3 says a lot about the maturity of this fanbase…
Whats the point of customization if someone can turn your's off?
Bro you so mad I called you a 343 shill you posted my comment on Twitter. I’m so weak like bro you legitimately made a video talking about the secret groups controlling halo. Isn’t that just fans there not some secret group. This toggle is not that deep either people just don’t want 343s newer art style in halo 3. Which is the halo most fans think was the prime of the bungie art style. Makes perfect sense to have a toggle. Halo infinite should not have a armor toggle it should have one consistent art style not two different art styles that are so different it legitimately looks off when playing.
No there shouldn’t be a toggle
why tf are 343 listening to the crybabies of the community, this toggle feature is legit just absurd in the first place and it could be used for gameplay advantages smh
I want a toggle for people who use the color pink on their armor, it doesn't belong in halo
TBH some of those "bad looking" helmets are important so that you can wear them to troll your enemies as you hunt them down. That's the sole reason why I wear the Seeker Helmet in Ranked Halo 5 – Strike fear into the hearts of my enemies
No toggle for Infinite
I'm thinking we should have armor loadouts… with so many different variations of armor customization in different sets.
Here me out… let's say you have an armor customization that's like a Breacher set up look. And a other that's mlre like a sniper asthetic…. like if you had a Jun and Emile style armors… rather than going through a menu to switch the peices each time you want to change the look, you get like 5 load outs and you can save each Armor authentic look and its a quick switch between them.
Halo infinite does not need the toggle. If halo Fans are a bunch of snowflakes then let em be.
Season 5 of MCC starts on January 27th… 2020?? Where's my time machine?!
The halo community is so ridiculous not everything has to be “ tHe sAmE gAme 10 yEaRs aGo” it needs to grow you guys won’t let it 😅
why customize armor if you can't even flex it
I just think the halo online armor is too detailed, not bad for halo 3
World of Tanks Has that option and I love it.
Yeah, for competitive would be cool, like you can have your favorite armor, no matter that is a pink chunky thing, so, if they implement a theather live for competitive matches (so people can see the armors), everyone can have crazy skins without any disvantages
The halo community honestly makes me feel ashamed to be a halo fan, which is why in general I just try to enjoy the games and stay as farrrr away from the toxic ass, cancerous community as possible
"You need help"
That sounds about right for what's to come for this video.. Or what has ALREADY come.
Great video as always… Not much else to say, it's good in all the right places.
Can there also be a toggle to make every helmet appear as seeker?
For those that want the old Halo 3 feel, boot up your 360, your saves are there, and so are all your armors. I ask, what's wrong with new armor? What's wrong with letting new fans join in the fun on some long lost armors from a defunct game? Why limit the customization of a Super Soldier?
To those that hate all the new content that has been released over the years, just, quit whining, grow up, and accept that times change, art styles change, and so do people. So why not armor?
I'm all for the MCC toggle cause I'm one of those people who wants a 'classic' experience and to stay true to the originals. for infinite its just stupid. its 343's game, not bungies. as much as people (including me) dislike 4 and 5's art style its 343's game and infinite has done a great job blending art styles together anyway, the new version of anubis looks amazing. i wouldn't mind one for performance saving/e-sports. honestly all i hope for infinites customization is that armour coatings arent egregious, forced and the only way of changing your armour colour.
both sides of the argument are toxic "keep it pure to the original and nothing can change, 343 bad" and "halo fans are so entitled just get used to it" are both horrible takes, 343 is compromising to make everyone happy.
IMO doom 2016 has the best customization of any game i know, a mix of it and reach would almost be perfection for any game.
as the armor toggle ur told i dont like it but if it could make me only skip pass the armors tht i dont like to unlocking the ones i like while still seeing other ppl rocking the armor tht i dont like is fine by me. i might not agree with the customization tht u like for urself but i should be given power to take away ur right to express urself through these features.
edit: "i should not be given power to take away ur right to express urself through these features." Sry i miss spelled
If Halo continue with this new "No customization/cometics" option, that could ended up becoming a trend for other games at some point, and i think many people would see that as a positive thing : )
I don't think it's a good idea, it's like you're trying to put a bag in the face of the ugly people; if u don't like it just don't wear it. Is the 343 game not ours.
Could that open the way to exploit some settings?
I guess you can argue using "color blind options" do the same but would it open the way for bigger exploitation?
Honestly I think the toggle has a really good place in MCC, I’d like to preserve the original Halo 3 as much as humanly possible but infinite, no I don’t think it should have one, 343i is working their asses off on Halo Infinite and it would be wrong to fuck with the work they’ve done on this FOR US to have a better experience more in line with the Bungie era Halo games
honestly idc what other peoples armour looks like, im gonna make my spartan look as bad ass as i can if you wanna play as an ugly spartan thats your problem, if you don't like how my spartan looks thats you're problem
I don't think the armor toggle should be in Halo infinite it supposed to have this blend of new and old art style
