Siege Should Steal This From Escape From Tarkov and Call of Duty

I go over an idea that I have for Rainbow Six Siege that is heavily inspired from Escape from Tarkov and Call of Duty.

  1. If these "Skin Challenges" were a permanent thing, I'd be on board. E.x Get 100 kills with Frags. And then you would get Black Ice colored Frags. THAT would be cool and would be a fun and engaging way to keep people coming back and working on something. Hell, Make Black Ice the "Gold" of Siege, and add it to All weapons, and then make the challenge to get 1000 kills with a weapon and you will get your Black Ice. Now, would that piss people off who already got their Black Ice from Packs? Yes. But just refund them with packs for every Black Ice they already have.

  2. About the wipe thing, I don't think is a good idea because some people pay for the skins and operators with real money or grind their life for it just to be wiped in a second. In Tarkov, the wipe is needed because you will se ingenious players with any kind of kit with the same META Kits like HK 416 with m855A1. The part with more challenges will help Siege, but the wipe part will kill it.

  3. I feel like they should steal overwatch's endorsement system where you get 3 loot boxes/alpha packs every week or so if you have a enough endorsement points because in overwatch nothing is stupid rare you can just buy whatever if you have enough currency but any progress towards black ice would make people jump with joy

  4. Just have the challenges be game mode specific. That way the goofy or obscure ones are only in Unranked and casual. So the ranked population won't die, but you're encouraged to play other game modes.

  5. Challenges will mess up the integrity of the game. For example in stadium rn everyone is running shotguns and suppressors for the challenges and no one is trying to win just trying to get those kills. I have been TK'd for "Stealing someone's suppressor or Shotty kill." The challenges will be farmed in every game mode except ranked so every mode but ranked will be ruined by challenges if they aren't done perfectly.
This happens in COD too, when the Finn came out every one would join a match and melee someone with an LMG then leave.

  6. I mean I love grinding for camos in CoD. That’s how i get my thrill from it. But in Siege I got my thrill from winning rounds and games and it’d be frustrating to loose games because teammates are getting eliminated while trying to grind out a sledge’s hammer for gold.
I haven’t played in a while and mainly sticked to casual so maybe my opinion doesn’t matter.

  7. I agree that we need something to freshen up the game a bit more as far as challenges go, especially after 5 years. As of now they are a bit tedious and boring to grind for and there is no real reward besides renown or charms and that’s actually quite disappointing. If we had the chance to earn legit weapon/attachment skins, unique gadget skins, or operator skins, I think that would give me and everyone else more incentive to actually play and grind those challenges rather than just grinding for renown or …… disappointed sigh more charms ughhhh.

  8. I love the cod aspect. The Tarkov wipe thingy not so much. But I really like how you are constantly throwing ideas around and keep a healthy discussion to improve our favorite game :3

  9. What about having, lets say, 5 levels for these challenges and every season you complete these challenges, you unlock new level permanently. For granades they could be maybe something like Lvl. 1 – different camo for your granades. Lvl. 2 – different explosion effect (confetti maybe) etc.
