Super video! I applauded for $5.00 👏👏
Bills Septic tank fund!
Bill – "What the hell is wrong with you?" .. 😀 had me creasing up.
State Share for sports games could be really interesting e.g. Football Manager/ FIFA. If you're in a bad situation in your career mode and about to get the sack, share it with the community and see if they can get out of trouble/ avoid relegation etc.
Do you think the Lego games will come to stadia?
Regarding Stadia+, I'd just like to clarify for anyone who's not on the extension's Discord that Mafrans (the creator) is currently phasing out the "classic" functionality since Stadia Enhanced currently does those better and more reliably. Instead he is going to expand the "Stadia+DB" side of things and make sure the plugin is compatible with Stadia Enhanced.
I think the best thing to do here is to quote his post directly, so here it goes:
Mafrans on Discord:
"
I have decided to drop all offline functionality, and focus 100% on what is currently known as Stadia+DB, but will in the end only exist as Stadia+. I have several reasons behind this decision:
1. Stadia+ has become way too large for its own good, and I am having a hard time keeping all the features stable. The reason why things are breaking often and fixes take a long time is honestly that the work has become too hard for me.
2. The pace and pressure of Stadia Enhanced is something I simply cannot deal with, especially now that school has begun once more. I don't see any reason to keep two separate extensions doing the same thing, and it would be advantageous for both Stadia+ and Stadia Enhanced if users could run both extensions simultaneously, and not have to compete over the same userbase.
3. The online functionality a system like Stadia+DB could provide is virtually uncharted territory when it comes to Stadia extensions. I enjoy being the first to do these kinds of things and there is a lot of potential to work with.
I will begin work on this new 3.0 version of Stadia+ immediately, and no further updates will be made for 2.X. This was a difficult decision to make, and one that I realise will cost me a large part of my users, but it's something I feel would be better for Stadia+ and the Stadia community in the long term. Thanks for all the support over this last year.
"
The main reason to use Stadia Enhanced (Stadia+ is currently undergoing a total transformation, I posted the details in another comment) is the following: if you have a screen that is lower than 4K (usually 1080p or 1440p), it can take things from looking OK to looking AMAZING.
Changing the codec is basically only interesting in and of itself for people who have hardware that struggles to decode the stream in a given codec. On the other hand, forcing 4K on a 1080p screen is "kind of" like switching YouTube from 720p to 1080p: the image is clearer, crisper and has way less artifacts.
In some games, the difference is minimal, but in others, it can be massive. Playing Cyberpunk 2077 on a 1080p screen in performance mode and forcing 4K stream resolution makes a world of difference in all but the most complex scenes (usually driving fast or when there are tons of effects during fights).
Is this necessary? Not really, especially in games that don't have "complex" graphics (games with smoother textures and more cartoony designs look better at lower bitrates than games with a ton of noise, rapid movement and complex shapes like grass and foliage). But in some titles, it makes a night and day difference.
The other major benefit of these extensions IMHO is the ability to hide games from the library. This way I can remove titles I have finished, and more easily get pulled into ones I haven't yet played/completed when I go browsing for a game to play.
@54:00 this is why we need a version 2 of the controller. Many people are having issues with them.
The Stadia store needs to be added to the Play Store
I said it before, and I'll say it again… The fact that we can't play so many games in local Co op is CRAZY.
Pac-Man, Bomberman, Risk of rain 2 and many many more I would LOVE to play with my family and friends in the room. Playing these games with random people on the internet does nothing for me and I don't care to play the games. Some of them was 2 player on one screen more then 20 years ago, and now in 2021 we can't play them with 2 people in the same room, the way some of the was meant to be played???
