The Division 2 NEWS! Community Wants Story & Missions NOT Game Modes! I'M SURPRISED!

I put a poll out last week to gauge what the community wanted from Year 3 content and the results surprised me! Let’s take a look!

Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is an upcoming online action role-playing video game developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft. The game will be released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on March 15, 2019.

Played from a third-person perspective, the game takes place in Washington D.C. 7 months after its predecessor, in which a civil war between survivors and villainous bands of marauders breaks out. In the game, players can cooperate with each other to complete objectives. The game will also feature raids, which can be completed by up to 8 players.

The game is being worked on by Massive Entertainment. Evaluating the feedback from players regarding the first game, Massive Entertainment planned to include more game content at launch and improve the endgame. The game’s endgame development was prioritised by Massive Entertainment after hearing players’ complaints from the first game.

The game was announced on March 9, 2018, by Ubisoft, with the first gameplay footage being premiered at the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2018 in June 2018, In the Expo, Ubisoft confirmed that the game will be released on 15 March 2019 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. A beta is set to be released prior to the game’s launch. After the game’s release, three episodes of downloadable content, which add new story content and gameplay modes, will be released for all players for free.

  2. I have a question about this mysterious year 3 content. If they had year 3 content planned why does it feel like it’s being done on the fly, like I don’t feel like they are at the forefront of providing info. No ones said anything aside from that shareholder call, if it wasn’t for that we wouldn’t even have known there would be year 3 content. Idk communication is horrendous, you don’t have to provide details of your plan to share that there is one.

  4. The Summit left much to be desired. Raids don't have matchmaking so I never played them. Nightmare was scrapped. No Survival in sight. It is easy to see why most of us voted for missions when the modes have been botched or are missing entirely.

  5. Dude your title is about how the community wants more mission and wtv, yet you talk about game modes. I can sympathize with needing to make content for your viewers, but guessing what Yohan is implying is useless. The game is on EoL. They have put all their assets on finishing avatar and ramping up star wars. Div 2 is done with getting decent new content. Time to move on.

  6. I don't think that the community wants a new map and new story missions, its just that what we've asked for we have yet to get so we're assuming they are going to burn us anyway and give us some bullshit. I'd take the game modes any day but if I didn't have a choice then I'd take a new mad or a nyc map expansion and new story missions.

  7. More hunters !! Ofcorse more story it keeps it alive 👍 I have never played PvP but I do not want that to be neglected, just the core player loves coop with friends doing story. My opinion only

  8. If I had to choose between new story or game modes I’d go with the latter. This game needs better repeatable content. I would love both but I fear there is a skelton crew working on the Division.

  9. for sure we need game modes but we know we can't get them so a new map and story will be not bad,
game modes are number 1 from year one but now there is no hope left

  10. Well I think that’s what draws people in to the division is what it’s talking about especially at the moment. When people vote on new missions and map what they are really saying is that everyone wants another new York dlc. Everyone played it and and Enjoyed it. New city and new missions defo. Game mode wise we have plenty it all just need an over haul.and mainly the dark zone. I don’t like pvp that much and don’t really play any pvp games but the dark zone is the only pvp based thing I’ve liked or don’t mind dieing in a lot ha ha.

  12. I want to see hunters explored but at the same time the mystery is what makes them cool. So I’d rather not see anything if it spoils the mystic about them. Having them pop up in missions is cool like the last manhunt mission was awsome. Have them pop up in dz or conflict too but I Geuss they will end up being like rogue incounters. It’s a tough one

  13. Not overly worried by storyline. The game needs more game modes and things to do.
Storyline lasts as long as it takes to do it, so limits its life. We need a bigger do like the 1st game. Survival, like the 1st game…just more content and less 1 shot story shit.

….and something more interesting than the summit.

But, instead, we now have 1 more year of all lat years season content until we get anything new…. * slow clap *

If it weren't for hanging out with the clan running the raids, there would be no real content to keep me in the game.

  14. I don't see the draw for survival 2.0 the community will complain regardless, the summit was (imo) almost exactly the same as underground. If it's game modes people want they should just make something new that they haven't done before. If they were to allow a player invasion type mode similar to dying lights be the zombie where the invaders get marked on the map or become a bounty target to hunt t
I voted for Story and missions myself, I like the Lore and whatnot of this franchise but with those missions I'm expecting new legendary content and possibly a stronghold or 2. Exotics and gearsets just more stuff to keep players engaged in what the game is good at,making builds.

  15. I think if the option had been "survival" it would have gotten a huge vote. "new modes" includes the skyscraper which just isn't very good or fun.

  16. Sorry folks but do not set any expectations. Ubisoft Bucharest is basically Ubisoft Q&A studio. No disrespect to anyone there and I do know some people in that area. Basically, The Division franchise is going by the way of Anthem. Premiere studio, then support studio then dead franchise. By selecting this studio its basically saying they cannot be bothered to do it or had it over to one of the premiere studios, let's sweep it under the rug. I'm so disappointed its not funny. That may be the last Ubisoft game I ever buy.

  17. People who want new missions are probably newer agents who haven't been through the original game since the beginning. Those of us who are long term fans, who have been here since the start of the Dollar Flu don't want this crap. We want legendary versions of the missions, we want Last Stand and Survivial and Umderground to come back. We want characters to die off with honor and not just like any other end of mission, mini-boss.

  18. I think content creators are out of touch with what this community wants. It does not surprise me. The higher demographic of players are older than most shooting games and a lot of these players don't spend hours grinding game modes, they just enjoy the world of The Division. I've personally started both games from scratch numerous times rather than grinding end game. This is why when people scream saying massive doesn't want to make a Div 3 or more content I just don't listen. This game is a huge cash cow for them and one of their biggest IPs
