  1. I remember playing Empire strikes back on Atari back in 87, maybe 88. Couldn't afford an NES at the time so it was all Atari till my G-ma got us an NES randomly one day. 😁
Damn those were fun simple times.

  2. This was a decent list, and yet it had so much missing from it.

    Star Wars: X-Wing v. Tie Fighter (PC) – 1997
Star Wars: Episode I: Battle for Naboo (N64) – 2000
Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds (PC) – 2001 & Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds: Clone Campaigns (2002)
Star Wars: Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader (Gamecube) – 2001
Star Wars: Starfighter (PC, PlayStation 2, Xbox) – 2001
Star Wars: The Clone Wars (Gamecube, Xbox, PlayStation 2) – 2002
Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter (Xbox, PlayStation 2) – 2002
Star Wars: Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike (Gamecube) – 2003
Vader Immortal – A Star Wars VR Game (PC, Oculus) – 2019

Like I get omitting some of these games because some are essentially rehashes of previous title iterations, but some of these games were kind of important to the franchise's video game lineage. Rogue Squadron II was marketed as a launch title for the Nintendo Gamecube if I remember correctly, for example.

  3. You know, the Star Wars fandom is often a divided one. But can we all take a moment to appreciate the fact that for nearly 40 years, we've gotten some damn good games? And not just good by Star Wars standards either. Some of these games are regarded even outside the fandom as among the greatest of all time. Amazing.
