The Many Lies And Broken Promises of Cyberpunk 2077

CD Projekt RED have promised that they’re going to fix the game as much as they possibly can on base consoles, and once that happens, we will, at the very least, be left with a decent game- if one that falls short of all the promises that its developer continuously made for two years. But in spite of that, the developer needs to be called out for its practices.

CD Projekt RED earned a strong reputation, but with Cyberpunk 2077, they seem to have forgotten how they got that reputation. With Cyberpunk 2077, they have been the opposite of honest and forthcoming. With Cyberpunk 2077, they have lost the trust of the masses.

  1. Ya im definitely gonna wait like a year or 2 before I buy this game. I'm in no rush cause besides the poor performance on consoles. I also heard the actual gameplay and story is alright at best. Nothing truly revolutionary or noteworthy.

Also anybody that bought this game on consoles got scammed. You basically payed $60 for a beta. Hahahahahhah

  3. Don't know why people comparing this to gta5. People seem to forget that this is an fps mmo rpg but i do have to say that the AI in this game are dumb as rocks and with all the bugs make it unplayable.

  4. While I agree with most of what you said, the PC release for GTA V and RDR2 from Rockstar was completely botched and full of bugs / glitches / crashes. GTA V still required you to make file modifications manually for many users years after its PC release.

Stop looking at the past through rose-colored lenses because you want to hate on CDPR. I'm mad at CDPR, but let's not forget that the PC release (and the GTA Online release period) of GTA V and RDR2 was FUBAR. RDR2 still doesn't have amazing performance.

Let's take a look a look at ourselves as a gaming and see that 1) open world are a nightmare for this kind of mess. Grow to expect them. The kind of game CDPR actually was, it could've had a mission design like Max Payne rather than open world. 2) Stop falling in love with these companies. It's literally the message of Cyberpunk. Fuck the corporations.

  5. CDPR: Out of darkness we bring light.
Ever the same, ever the different.
    Forwards, ever forwards.
Beacon in the darkness, light of hope.
    Faith grants us strength.
    Bold and righteous.
    Forwards, ever forwards.
    Don't wake a sleeping lion.
    Ever the best.
    Eternal prime.

me: game is not finished 😡

  6. Who s the offender? CDPR or the Corpo shareholders? I still cannot wrap my head around the fact that a game studio would put out such crap, after working on a project for 7 years. Blood sweat and tears just to have a whole community riled up against you afterwards? It doesn t make sense to me.

  7. Excellent unfinished game, would've needed at least 1 more year of development. It's the start of the end for CD Projekt Red, they are puplic now the only thing that matters is capital growth.

  8. Yeah I feel like if this game was just given to me without me knowing anything about it I would definitely give it a 10/10, but it was made out to be something that it is not maybe they will pull a no man's sky but just gotta wait and see.

  9. Man, I feel bad watching this because I genuinely don’t have any glitches or anything too game breaking- my car hasn’t blown me up or done anything crazy glitchy
From time to time there is a NPC that won’t render immediately, but does in maybe 2 seconds.
Maybe it’s just a console thing?

  10. This game made me appreciate more older games like gta san andreas and Morrowind. When you look closer, those games still have most advanced game design even by todays standards and thats sad cause that only shows how much have we progressed in graphics department and how little to non in game design department.

  11. I've been waiting to get lost a new game and was waiting for this game heavy. And as much as I kinda gave into the hype over the days since launch, my love for game has been dwindling away, now im catching myself playing my other games. Im not gonna play until there's way more updates. I am disappointed on how the flat the game is.
