Friday Night Funkin… a video game all about a child getting jiggy with it that took the world by storm a few years ago. From youtube lets play videos, to custom fnf mods, truly Friday Night Funkin was a lightning in a bottle phenomenon. However, now that a few years have passed, you would think that a game as popular as FNF would still be dominating the online space, right? Wrong!   2. True reason why the game died, Lack of updates, and Mods started getting too high quality to pump out enough for the game to stay alive. Also modding this game is really really easy. like serisously i was 12 when I made my first modifacation to this game.

  4. the number one problem for me is what the endgame is gonna look like here, because like what you said, a decent amount of mods out there are far better than the base game at this point. really though, it must be very disheartening seeing how impatient and awful this community is most of the time (mostly because its riddled with idiot children on tiktok and twitter all day).

  13. this is a great video but its kinda.. like "outdated"? idk but the info you have is kinda old, the crew isnt 4 ppl anymore, its a literal studio. phantom arcade stated in a stream (good luck finding it, hes done alot) that alot of what he is doing (which is drawing/animating, thats his main role) is for the studio, like hes been making many character sheets and sketches for the artists hired to follow so it looks like the fnf style aswell as leading the art direction and game, theyve been dealing with legal stuff regarding the game and hiring people to work on it too. The next update is also not just the next week of fnf, its what people call a "V-slice" update, idk too much about game development but he said that a V-slice update is essentially what the full game will look like at its HIGHEST quality, like a decently sized snippet of the full game at the highest quality it can get because this update is supposed to be one of, if not the last update to the game before they just lock in and go silent until release. they're trying to get it out before next year (in which i wouldnt like hold it to them, i kinda doubt it'll come but hopefully) its supposed to hold more than one week i believe, there has also been a preview animation cutscene floating around YT, showing pico running from nene and darnell, and it looks really good. So i personally think they arent just running away and its fallen into the Deltarune/undertale and omori… trap? idk, but it gets announced and it doesnt come out for 10 decades bc it'll take a long while, only thing we gotta hope is, is that its not.. bad 🙂

This may sound dumb, but i think fnf dev should do a massive collab with every single mod dev, like seriously, if those mod creator spending their time and money for a mod that somehow even better than a original game(imp v4,ddto,indie cross,…), then how could they reject it(unless when tired of this game and need some rest), aside
    JUST LOOK AT THAT MONEY HOLY SHI-

  19. Overambition is, ultimately, the main factor of why fnf is in the state it's in currently. Not to mention the fact that, since mods have lead to the community having higher expectations over time, one can only imagine how much pressure the funkin' team are put under. Sure, they didn't expect the game to boom in popularity like it did, but they also might've bit off more than they can chew with those promises.

    It's even funnier when you realize that fans themselves have suffered from being overambitious, as that's often why mods of the game get cancelled left and right, outside of the usual drama, of course.

  21. I think indie developers need to learn how to make promises in a realistic manner. It seems like every time an indie game gets popular the developers try to profit from the brief burst of relevancy but just end up in over their heads.

  25. FNF itself is a fun game if you have nothing else to do, I like it, it’s just the community that ruins it.
    A kid at my school plays FNF regularly today and god he’s awful.
    I went to this school just recently last year and I seen this kid.
    We’ll call him Ian.
    Ian is a bullying target, and a good one at that as a borderline bully myself.
    He had a bad hairline (McDonald’s Symbol), is not intelligent in the slightest, creates blatantly stupid lies to make him seem like he’s in the right, when he just makes himself look stupider. He’s also very weak in terms of extracurricular activity. He challenged me to an arm wrestle (the middle school hierarchy system) and he failed, miserably at that. Who would’ve thought, the kid who doesn’t play sports rivals that of the speed and strength of the jocks? Not to mention, the jocks are chill (until something happens) and are my best friends and have risen me to some of the more popular kids at the school.
    Anyway, after failing miserably our boy Ian said he was just warming up, and we would arm wrestle for real.
    Get ready for this…
    He lost again, I won effortlessly.
    And then he accused me of cheating and school ended.
    I’d just like to know how you cheat in an arm wrestle of all things. It’s not Monopoly the board game, it’s a game of strength that you sit down and force someone’s hand down onto a solid place until their knuckles touch it.
    Anyway our boy Ian is an interesting fellow, to say the least. He’s caused me to lose my cool, and vice versa.
    Now, we both shared IEP classes.
    IEP is basically special education for those who don’t know. I sometimes shared my IEP classes with Ian.
    I am pretty sure I already established that my relationship with Ian is not the greatest compared to others. Now, about sharing these IEP classes. I was down in my guy’s class doing my work (he’s a great guy by the way, me and my IEP teachers have made me have the greatest time ever at my school, we sometimes exchanged gifts)
    Now, this Ian kid was easy to lose his cool and this one day in particular was probably him at his worst.
    I was sitting there, doing my work and he suddenly came in.
    Ian was not allowed a break or something and had to work, and wanted to play with the things in the cabinet of toys.
    We had foam dice, board games, etc in there.
    Basically all you could wish to do while you’re bored as hell in class.
    This eventually escalated into Ian having a full blown MELTDOWN and he started crying his eyes out and screaming like a banshee.
    Now this is where things go down. He grabbed the lego project of earth made by the strongest kid in the grade. And you know what he did? Take a guess.
    Did Ian:
    A: Pick it up and smash it on the floor?
    B: Throw it across the room?
    or C: Ignore it?

    If you guessed A you’d be correct! Good job!
    And the kid who made the project was in the room and he got PISSED. If no one was there he would have beat the shit out of him because he got into a fight this year and slammed a kid into a brick wall and held him up and choked him and he was ripped away from the kid against the wall by a teacher.
    Anyway, the IEP guy took back control of the situation and Ian said “Let me do (whatever he wanted to do) or he gets it!”
    Ian gestured at me while saying this
    nah dawg i’m shaking in my boots 💀
    I’m pretty sure this was after the big arm wrestling thing with Ian and I. I can’t remember.
    Anyway, I thought after he said this I thought he was a hilarity, and I chuckled at his antics.
    Now, now that the highlights of Ian’s meltdown is out of the way, I’ll get to the point where FNF is actually relevant in here.
    Ian is absolutely obsessed with that indie game mod, the one with Cuphead from… well, Cuphead, Sans from Undertale, and Bendy from Bendy and the Ink Machine.
    Specifically Cuphead and Sans.
    When I walked over to Ian to mess with him for my entertainment, he said, while gesturing a finger gun at me; “I am Cuphead, and I will (stupid threat) you with Sans and Bendy!”
    I laughed at this and sat the seat opposing him so I could make eye contact with him.
    I’m not expecting Ian to become a humanoid 50’s cartoon character with a cup for a head to appear with a pixelated skeleton and demon made from pen ink.
    But alas, nothing even happened. Ian kept gesturing that finger gun at me and let me get to the part where he REALLY likes FNF.
    When I pretended to be friends with him, he watched a FNF mod showcase and he ignored everything anyone said and had his eyes about 4 and a half inches from the screen. Ian even sometimes pretends he has a little keyboard in front of him and he’s playing it. But the imaginary keyboard wasn’t even relevant as he was just pressing random keys, not WASD or the arrow keys.
    So, uh, Ian even sings along like seen in 1:04
    And he’s also frowned upon for literally disrupting entire lunch sessions because he screams for no reason.
    Keep in mind this is middle school.
    He also even loses his cool at lunch too.
    Sometimes he gets so mad he threatens to hit me.
    If he dares lay a finger on me aggressively I will shove him to another table without hesitation.
    He also claims to be 50 pounds.
    He’s probably the least insane child who plays FNF regularly in 2023.
    TLDR; Kid named Ian sucks at being strong, gets beat in an arm wrestle and accuses me of cheating, breaks the strong kid’s lego Earth project that wasn’t graded yet, plays FNF modern day, and has Skibidi Toilet syndrome for FNF.

  27. We Just need To Wait guys, Let's Give them the Time they need and Pray to God the Game truly looks Like it's Been Remastered to a 100 (meaning very very very fucking good!!!)

    Also Don't need to get angry, If people were Able To Wait for GTA 6 for so long, then we can wait for FNF !

    Meanwhile let's Enjoy the Mods we Have and Get ! :>

  37. So, even if sonic exe need to be banned from all the world, fnf is my favorite game, and me, who have tryed animating. Is really really hard to do so, they re 4 people, and seeing the people screaming at them make me lost trust in humanity. For me fnf need an update too, but more importantly, he need a lovely community like the msm and fnaf one, of people who wait patiently for theyr update, and love every single aspect of the game, and not when a new mod came out the last one nobody cares animore, I hope that the community see this, so they can try to change, but is unlikely…

  39. some people don't keep up to date with fnf's updates

    – phantom arcade has stated he WANTS the game to come out this year. or else he'll jump off a bridge (the last part was a joke)

    – and they're 4 man team has grown into a 8? 10? man team idk

    – They have life's and burnouts are a thing

    and lastly

    – many other games have taken longer then fnf, Friday night funkin isn't this new "first to do it" thing, Bendy's second game took 4 years, cuphead's dlc took 5 years, Games take serious amounts of time to make and you shouldn't hold the dev's at gun point hoping they meet YOUR standards, They'll make what they said and if you dislike it, that's fine.
