  1. Both my main and smerf hover around 3KDR and I’m always fighting diamonds, masters and preds on both accounts. Occasionally I get a bot lobby after loosing a bunch, but my pubs are harder than platinum rank 90% of the time.

  2. Smurfing is fun for like the first match and then all of a sudden there are apex preds everywhere. So what do u do. U hit ranked just to find out that bronze and silver is harder than gold and platinum smh

  3. i got yelled at for duo queuing with my teammate in bronze lobbies because he thought we were smurfing. we were both on our mains, we haven't played ranked in multiple seasons and we were both playing on our mains.

  4. I dunno, I have friends that I was getting into the game but my sbmm made it bad for them. So I made a Smurf and played with them and game after game more than 50 matches all of them I dominated so hard… So I beg to differ especially since the sbmm is wonky and unpredictable anyway.

  5. sbmm matches you with players below your skill level for the first two games once you start feeling like your playing well they throw you into games with good players while giving you less skilled teamates when you constantly die over and over again the matchmaker will put you in a game with a good player likey a pred or master to make you feel good again cuz your gonna win a decent bit of your fights then it repeats

  6. the lobbies youre put into are mostly based on kd so it doesnt matter what level you are, if you make a smurf and shred a couple games giving you a higher kd, youll get placed with better players immediately

  7. Above a 1.0 = top tier.. well fuck me that’s why I get preds in my pubs with level 14 friends I want to show the game to, I will make sure to not actually play the game so I can play with friends

  8. You can get mmr reset easily when you are under lvl 20. So many ppl has abused this method and it is still works. You make new account and do the best as you can. That will put u in pred lobby. Then you dive to the busiest drop zone and stand still and get kill. Now you are back to the lobby you were in for first few games. Thats why it is so easy to make smurf account for rank… you will end up the lobby you are meant to be in as you play more and more but, if ppl just making smurfing account for rank, it takes less then 2~3 hours to make lvl 10 account

  9. Smurfing is absolutely prevalent. Try actually playing the game for once and looking and the accounts. Especially using the level 1 battle pass badges to fake levels, lmao. It's pathetic. Or just using no badges/no trackers.

  10. I agree that smurfing really isn’t a problem, since after the first 100 kills, you instantly get put into Pred lobbies.
However, a way to abuse the system is by dying 20 times in a row without kills, and then playing properly. Doesn’t work for K/D of course, but works for getting good gameplay videos

  11. Like 90% of the people streamers get matched up against are W+M1 level 28 octanes, but this is exclusive to streamers somehow. I often rewatch my own matches to look for possible improvements, and I alwayshave competent, slidejumping enemies; only in BR, though, as arenas matchmaking is complete salad.

  12. On my second account I'm getting my average lobbies or better, from time to time yeah the lobby is easier but that happens even on my main account. I made second account just bc sometimes I just want to fuck around and not destroy my main acc stats for it. Literally, on my second I blast music and enjoy the game

  13. Smurfing isn’t a problem unless it’s in ranked, nothing better than being told by my friend who only just got into the game that he got killed by a bronze 4, level 20 with close to 1000 kills already.

  14. You are definitely wrong about how sbmm works in apex. It is not solely based on kd. It’s based on a multitude of things averaged together, games played + kd + average damage per game are the 3 big things that SBMM looks for in apex. So yes, you are playing against noobs because from what testing I’ve been told is that if you have under 50 games played you are put into “noob” lobbies, the game throws out other sbmm perimeters for new accounts and only looks at games played and sbmm doesn’t start to fully kick in until the game has more data to work with.

So hey man, if you like kicking in noobs faces and you don’t see anything wrong with that. Go on ahead. I’m not gonna say you are right though.

  15. only issue i have is running into people that are constantly 20k more kills in almost all matches. Not even that good at the game. The smurfing side of it is that just kinda shitty to do. If your good at the game just make a new account and just farm you badge at the start for your 20 kill badge and 4k badge. Smurfing is reportable they allow to report to ban people. I know some of my friends that started off in the game that quit pretty quick due to the smurfing getting out of hand. they felt that if your good at the game and easily just shit over legit new players because you think its fun just going to hurt the community more. to me its just toxic that people are justifying a toxic behavior being like they allow it type shit, its fun to destroy noobs. i always had the most fun when i accually have great game and earned that shit. going around punching noobs to the point you win is cool but at the same time it can destroy the new players wanting to learn.

  16. well i dont get why, if my teammates have 1.5kd or above they both cant kill one person in a team but then i can kill 2 and get the other one low. im not saying that its always like that but if im getting bad teammates shouldnt the rest of the lobby also be bad not just my teammates?

  17. Someone who has created multiple accounts, I can agree with this. And is something that Ive been saying for the longest. What people call bot lobbies are not really bot lobbies. When you create a new account your thrown into lobbies I call the new comer lobbies. When you do good you are then put into the low tier lobbies(what people call bot lobbies) and if you do bad in that lobby after a few games it puts you back into new comer lobbies. After about level ten no matter your progress you stay in the low tier(bot lobbies). But its hard to even stay in that lobby because sbmm is so aggressive, youll eventually be moved up what i call mid tier lobbies, which in my experience still has three levels to it, before you move to what people call pred lobbies( which dont happen very often that most of your players in pubs are diamond and above, but it does happen from time to time usually during the split)
Sorry Im a very analytical person and like to do my own experimentation. I could have a really long conversation about my OPINION about how sbmm works.
