I remember my Base race That i just barely won with my nexus having only 400hp left i 1v3 the team that is defending the enemy base
I've climbed to gold 4 with 70% winrate on yorick check opgg (Naimanir) There is a lot of things to know on this champ so I'll list things here:
1. When you press R always spam your q, it will make that your ghouls and maiden won't die when you do but your R will be on CD (your ghouls and ult will continue to dps after you're dead but also it unlocks 2 maidens) when you summon the second maiden, don't forget the q r thing. The second one will be automatically unleashed but the next ones will follow you. This first thing was quite long but super usefull. It is a bug but Riot doesn't give a fuck about the champ and it is in the game for 5 months, they know but they don't patch it. You're not gonna get banned.
– You can solo nash at 20 if you save 4 ghouls. You engage with your ghouls and when they die you R so you have ghouls again. Works with any build.
– Your w tank a tower shot and can block minons so you can freeze easily. If you cast it between the wall and the tower it will stop the wave from advancing (the minions will litterally go in the jgl) so your wave can fully come in tower range.
– in late game your ghouls solo nash.
– when you wanna roam (yorick has good roams actually) you always summon ghouls and let them attack the wave once: they will push the wave and you'll get xp and gold of the minions killed. It enables you to push 2 lanes at once or even 3.
– You want to always have prio:your ghouls will hit the tower and give you plates.
There is a lot to say on mid game and late game so I bring you two channels : Kampsycho and Krykey.

I love playing Yorick, played him since before rework. The other day I got 2 towers and an inhib with a single ghoul pushing with a minion wave. Apparently Bronze and Silver players ignore ghouls if they are in minion waves 😀

Well Yorik could work in VERY LOW ELO let's say iron-bronze, but at silver and up people at less knows his cheap tricks, then why yorik if teemo can melt almost everything in low elo and is easier to play?, both champs will not work in mid and high elo, but in low elo I believe that high win ratio of yorik is because his very low pick rate then if only 2 to 3 players play yorik and they win makes looks like yorik is great and an hyper carry pick but the truth is almost nobody plays yorik and is for a good reason, when you play a champ like yorik or teemo you don't relay in your own skills and knowledge you relay in your enemies lack of them, yorik without maiden is dead meat, then if the enemy dash the cage he has no maiden the only last resource left is the walkers that are weak not big deal to kill them, summary yorik against somebody without game knowledge ULTRA OP but against some one with game knowledge ULTRA WEAK and he has a big problem right now people including myself discovered how OP is Quinn this patch and yorik biggest weakness is his low range, any long range champ will melt yorik, let's say teemo Vs yorik bronze elo match up 90% chance teemo win the game, will be defined by the jungle intervention because if the jungler doesn't help yorik he lose before game start already, yorik Vs Vayne bronze matchup 95% Vayne win, yorik's jungler only can put things even but is a lost lane, and Yorik Vs Quinn bronze matchup 100% chance Quinn win with or without jungler intervention and yorik's jungler must be careful to don't give her a double kill and get her even more feed, then if a beginner player ask me which champ to play in top lane, I will probably recommend TEEMO, at less this patch, Teemo is strong enough to hold lane, he doesn't bring more to the table mid and late game neither has enough mobility to macro plays, but is reliable enough to don't lose top lane, he requires very low skills to master, he has a free Q easy to land, the mushrooms doesn't need to much skills either, autoattacks same any other range champ and a W to disengage and that is another problem all yorik's abilities are offensive he has no disengage what means if your offense fail you are dead with no scape and normally the ranged champ will have the CS lead and will have item advange over you, then I will say Yorik needs some skills and knowledge to play while Teemo needs NONE and we are talking about low elo where Teemo is the devil and can be called a king
Wow, Warden's mail never occurred to me as a good Urgot counter and I play the champion quite a lot. Previously bramble vest was the counter item but this one is just too good.
Why are you revealing how good Yorick is? People are going to start picking him away from me 😂
A few notes; don't use q to raise walkers unless you are trying to push the lane, ghost is better than flash for Yorick because it lets you escape 1v4 fights mid/late game.
Yorick is trash even in low ELO he is very slow based champ. The fight might be over when he landed 3 attacks only

hey i got a question. the recommendation was pretty good, in 4 games ive won lane 3 times but in all 4 games my teammates gave between 25 and 35 kills in 20 min. I managed to win 2 of them with the splitpush strategy, but it still is pretty frustrating. Any recommendation on what to do when you have to handle 3 or even 4 fed enemy carries? thank you
Urgot? Hard matchup for yorick? IDK man, when i used to play and onetrick urgot, getting stuck in yorick's stupid wall while you whiff your w on his minions is the worst.

I see guides that tell you to max W second, as it increases the amount of basic attacks it can receive before being destroyed. But I never do that because people don't know you can actually destroy it with autos so I max E second lol
Victor is super strong in elo too
That outplay he did during lvl 5. It was such a challenger outplay. He was low hp but not low enough. He knew abilities would heal and he did not just stand in a minion wave, he actually kited during that time while he knew he would have enough hp. Just damn. I would assume I win it for urgot, because I would forget about Q healing factor

I have noticed this in recent months myself and the reason why Yorick is so good is simple: nobody plays him and thus nobody knows how to play against him and this has been the case for basically forever. By the way, I played Graves against him when I had to face him because it's easy to avoid his circle as Graves. Urgot is definitely not the worst matchup for Yorick.
Regarding Urgot, this Urgot is terrible. First he ints at your tower and then he would have killed you easily for your overextension at 4:25 if he had moved to the right after flipping you because he has all his shotguns up at the left side.

Kinda surprised you didn't mention that you can let the maiden run down a lane solo. One tactic I personally use is if a drake is up and I am feeling confident I back then send maiden down a lane, then TP to the drake pit for a team fight. Depending on timing an enemy laner might peal to take care of the maiden leaving us with the numbers advantage or she just pushes a wave for free while I team fight. Its a very big risk vs reward play though.
