  1. That "new" mobile control is the most horrible thing I've ever seen in Minecraft. Its like those weird control on some low efffort rip-off games. I hope that'll not be a thing, ever.

  2. Some form of link between the deep dark and the end would be highly possible, if they find a way to make it relevant and interesting. the skulk looks like void/end portal. Many of the skulk blocks have a yellowy tone to them that looks a bit like endstone and the end portal frames.

  3. The next update hopefully will contain all
the biomes that lost the vote from previous votes. It would complete the overworld almsot entirely and then give them a chance to either work on end or make a new demension.

  4. Enderman: colors reminiscent of portal to most recently added dimension, but has nothing to do with said dimension, (originally did not spawn in the nether) meant to be high health high attack, but avoidable by players if they don't want to fight it (don't look at its eyes) introduced an update prior to the addition of a new dimension (End) in Minecraft 1.0 (changed from beta to full release)

Warden: colors reminiscent of portal to most recently added dimension, but has nothing to do with said dimension, meant to be high health high attack, but avoidable by players if they don't want to fight it (don't make noise) introduced alongside a portal. Could the portal open to a new dimension in the next update, Minecraft 2.0?

  5. The good thing about archeology is having more structures for once and actually encouraging exploration as long as it has unique loot like real loot not just a disc even though I like the new one or a very mediocre enchant where you only use it in the area you get it in

  6. I decided to get back into minecraft since I havent played in several updates, and i decided to try out bedrock since it has controller support. On java, performance was stable 60fps at 24 render distance. On bedrock, I have a very inconsistent 60fps at 12 render distance. Why is bedrock performance so terrible?

  7. Savanna, Desert, and Badlands are the only remaining biome vote biomes. Maybe they will all be updated together, since they are all dry areas (no rain) so they kind of fit together.

  8. I think it would be cool if the portal frame thing did lead to a new dimension, but not just any new dimension. What if this dimension had special properties, like flying/no-gravity or special plants? Maybe that was why the "ancient builders" built the portals, but they accidentally caused skulk to leak into the overworld in the process. It would also be cool if all of the ancient cities were linked to eachother through the dimension the portal leads to.

  9. I think that the ancient city’s were built by entities trying to study the power of souls. It feels like the main frame played some important part into accessing the resource as it’s the only area surrounded by spreading sculk. It most likely would have been redstoners utilizing the new “biotech” they discovered considering the sculk activated lamps and experiments with redstone under the sculk frame. The area feels like it was a destroyed residence with the bath areas, walkways, and coolers for possible food storage placed around the structure. The ruins you find chests in look like destroyed buildings and that would explain the loot you find in it. I believe they recorded their findings but after realizing the danger, they destroyed their records explaining the disc fragments.
Now to dive into how they used it. Firstly, this may have been ancient builders. They have always been known to be fascinated with other dimensions and it wouldn’t be surprising if they indeed played with the use of souls. Okay so obviously you need life to access souls. It looks like they used bones or fossils over deep slate to form the frame which would emphasize the direction they were going in. Accessing some kind of dimension to the afterlife. My explanation is In music disc 5, it sounds like an army went in a portal and the light music that plays is the amazement in what they discover. You can hear mining of shards as if they were collecting the rare resources and the different ambient sounds from what’d you hear anywhere else. But something happens in the middle of the disc that sets the scene on someone feeling the need to run back through the portal. You can hear another warp sound. I’m assuming they exited. I think they might’ve suffered casualties or disappearances and as they kept sending in more people, it grew stronger because that’s what skulk feeds on. Thats why in the end of the disc after they left, it sounds like something was happening to the portal, or all portal frames since there’s many, until a big explosion of skulk starts bleeding out. The person tries building away but comes across the sensor which summons the warden.
Finally I’m going to give my explanation on what sculk even is. Since I spoke about it being a new dimension, I’m going to build off of that. It seems like it’s a concentration of souls which needs to spread by consuming the soul of life that’s died around it. It feels like one big entity since each of the sculk blocks work together in some way to help achieve that. It was angered by the ancient builders scraping off parts of it and needed some way to protect itself and that’s why when they first entered the dimension, the warden wasn’t present. That also would explain how powerful the warden is as well. It’s a chunk of the many souls the sculk has consumed.
My finals thoughts. By going off of my explanation, I’m unsure if the sculk was originally a bad or good thing. If it’s a pleasant thing for your soul to be consumed by sculk. In the disc, whatever the ancient builders discovered seemed absolutely magical until they realized it was all alive and one entity being hurt by them collecting pieces of it causing it to be hostile towards anything that comes near. Anyways I spent entirely too long on this analysis but I hope anyone who read enjoyed reading through 💀

  10. I don't think they've figured out what to do with the "portal" structure yet.
They couldn't figure out what to do with several things
    Goat horns
    Fite flies
    Warden took some delays
I sincerely believe they have no clue what to do with the portal

  11. Not a theory, but more of a wish: I want the portal to lead to a dimension of Death, that explains were all the undead mobs came from. Like seriously, were does all the zombies and skeletons come from?
