This only just now dawned on me as I’m watching this reaction. Have either of you watched Bleach and if so have y’all seen the new anime trailer for the final arc?? Bleach has a bad rep in the Big 3 but I’ve always liked it more than Naruto, would love to see y’all react to it in general
They announced the show will not come back in 2022 but we will not have to wait 6 years like season 1. I can wait if this is the price to have such an amazing season like this one. The animation, the songs, the voices, the story, the scenario, everything is a masterpiece. Hoping the best for the next season. Great reactions !
If you really pay attention, Sevika is the last person that would dust off anybody's chair before letting them sit. If anything, that was a subtle hint she was throwing to silco that she was still on his side.
Silco was basically acknowledging that he understood what Vander was going through when he didn't want to give up or lose his children (fight). During the statue scene.
It didn't win any nominations on what you're talking about because it came out too late. 2022 is right around the corner. It's already been nominated for some Annie awards tho. I'm sure it'll be nominated for other things next year.
If this makes you feel any better, the pilot episode was made 6 years ago. Then it took like 3 years for that pilot to get off its feet (mostly because Hollywood wanted to change too much of the story, and Riot and the writers didnt want to give that up.) So Riot eventually funded the show themselves. So it really has only been in development for like 3 years, max. And they've been working on Season 2 for awhile now. TLDR: We're going to get S2 much sooner than you think. Probably early/mid 2023.
Watch silco's monologue at the vanders statue again and you will understand that he was being honest with jinx, he finally understood why vander gave up on fighting, for his children, silco was not going to betray jinx.

I love What If? a great deal, but best animation? No.
It's a bitter pill that the end coincides with them voting for peace. But its worth remembering that this "peace" would have done nothing but handed Undercity and all the people living there over to the control of Silco and the violent crime lords he put in charge. Even the terms Silco asked for; Clemency, free trade, access to the Hex gates are all things that only really would have helped the criminals in charge there. The writers could have tossed in something there like food, medical supplies or aid in rebuilding and cleaning Undercities crumbling polluted infrastructure and its telling that they didnt. In the end that peace did nothing but let the PIltover council wash their hands of a situation they and their predecessor's, including Heimer, created in the first place.

15:00 "I don't believe that." I do. It's why he had that talk with Vander's statue. He couldn't do it, even though it was going to prevent him from getting everything he had done everything for. He had become a father first. He had just never had to face it completely until right then. It's poetic. He had gone the same way Vander had.
15:30 I had the same reaction to what Jinx said here. Who says she doesn't still love you despite how you've changed? But there's a lot going on that she doesn't actually say here, which she knows she doesn't have to. She is still 100% against Piltover and believes the only way to make things right is to go to war with them. Vi is realizing that's not the way, and this is what Jinx meant when she says "but you've changed too". The reason Jinx keeps seeing Caitlyn as a devilish figure is because she is from Piltover, therefore she is evil to Jinx. Jinx's father just died. She makes one final violent act against the monster in her life, the enemy of her father and everyone she loved. Her dying father just told her she's perfect, it's what she's good at, and it's what she wants to do with everything she is. How could it be wrong? She has solidly decided to stay Jinx.

Silco's love for Jinx was real, otherwise Silco wouldn't have wasted his final words telling Jinx that she was perfect the way she was.
Watching this show this is the prediction I made the first time. At ep 3 I knew silco through hid adoption would end up making the same "moves" Vander did to protect his kids. I knew it was gonna happen. But with what we got, idek if i count it as being right

lol most people figured out that Silco’s love for Jinx was genuine by the ending… he literally used his dying breath to comfort her because he understood her and knew she deserved love. that alone should recontextualize all of his past interactions with her for you

Alot was missed…..yes they voted for peace and she shot a rocket but Silco did point out he wasn't going to give Jinx up. Now that's another thing, as most viewers believe him as the fountain scene is time repeating itself as Silco has come to understand the love and presence of a daughter relationship just like Vander did, hence the line "is their anything undoing as a child/daughter?". You played I don't believe him even at the end when he dies and your perspective on his character and motivations will essentially modify jinx and vi cause Vi is very flawed and quite ignorant in this series. She wants powder back and can't accept Jinx the young woman her sister has become in that split personality despite helping to create Jinx. Going forward just think, Caits mom is in the council room with the missile and could die, Cait already hates Jinx, you want to ship Cait and Vi and have a relationship but Vi wants her sister back who is now the walking embodiment of Zahn, the Undercity, chaos. I think this is one show that you might want to rewatch or re-review….think over topics, characters….and dive into cause it is deeper than it seems.
i think Jayce didnt fight Vi because of Caitlyn, he was most likely thinking he would ruin his friendship with caitlyn. Either that or he was thinking that she can do more damage to Silco with the gauntlets, im just not a fan of Toxic masculinity due to the fact some guys arent built like that
