i really love how fxcking wild and animalistic he is in this redesign and even though i still feel his kit is far too simplistic to hold my attention for long i would not mind playing a few games just to see this hunch back run along.
I’m excited for him. I hope the new stances will have some skill expression to them. I wonder if they’ll release the fourth demigod before his rework to tie all of his abilities to them, or if it will be the boar like what Sejuani rides. Seems to be super cool! (Also, it’s Frel-yord. You don’t pronounce it as a “J”)

I lived through the aatrox incident, but it still makes me sad that they go conservative now; nunu's rework was amazing, and we are not getting anything like that now.

I'm an M7 Udyr, and I'm really curious how they're going to rework the Spirit Guard Udyr skin. I think this is the first full VGU for a champion with an Ultimate skin, so I'm excited to see how they keep it special. Really looking forward to his release.
Antlers are traditional for freliordian shamans. That's why antlers were pretty cool idea. Also to me now he looks like he's missing something.
So. Since Udyrs stances represent the gods of Freljord does it mean that we get in the future a Boar god champ (I know Sejuani rides a Boar, but it would be lame if all his stances are based on gods and only 1 is based a simple aniimal / monster)? 🙂 Would be cool. A Boar champ design would bring some cool gameplay and visuals into the game. And we didnt have a new Freljordian and Monster-like / non-human champion in a couple years.
Im actually tempted to do my own very own design of this champion (including the 3D model with textures, maybe some simple animations and vfx if I have the time for it).
Gameplay aside, I'm not a huge fan of his new look. Granted, it's better than his old one for sure but he's still missing that little detail called placement. In the lore udyr is a shaman warrior from the freljord, so why doesn't he look like it? The freljord factions all have very distinct apparel and yet udyr doesn't fit into any of them still. Instead they went for the shirtless giant approach but we already have that and he's called braum. Braum's whole shtick is that he's a folk hero
Braum, that guy that fought a mountain and wonhe's shirtless to show his durability in the harsh climate of the freljord to rally people behind his shield. Making udyr another shirtless warrior takes away from braums legends and it doesn't even help tell udyr's story. Warm pelts and battle scars would do him so much better rather than what they've got going at the moment. For the sake of league of legends, he's fine I guess but for the sake of runeterra he could be so much more stillI am not colorblind and i find it extremely difficult to spot a difference between the two left pictures as well, to the point where im not sure there even is one sooo…. maybe thats something they will change.
Im thinking spirit guard udyr may have different animals for stances, much like the 4 chinese cardinal guardians (tiger, turtle, dragon and phoenix).
Really glad they're taking their time with him. Can really see the effort they're going into and no doubt it'll pay off dividends. Next question will be balance, but that'll be down to the numbers

27:30 bottom up it's Anivia, Voli, Orn & …….. ( insert boar god here ). Who is said boar god? That is my question & unless I miss my guess it will be his gap closer similar to Gristle's charge on Sejuani.
personally I love playing Udyr right now, the fact that they're keeping his same playstyle with just more to offer is exactly what I love to hear. The only thing I want now is for them to add something to his back like another tattoo for his passive or something to fill that bare back.

I love you Huzz but I have a couple of bones to pick with you. Firstly: it is pronounced "frelyord". Secondly: Dragon Ball is one of the most overrated anime out there, super boring, unreasonably stretched scenes, goofy story and edgy characters, let alone the length of all that thing. Yuk

I think you need to watch some more trick2g if you think Uydr has not skill, that guy pulls off some shit that is just astounding withs him.. also is it just an American thing to pronounce Frejord as Frey jord?
