Valheim – A Longboat Full Of Troubles

Valheim is a game about an elite Viking craftsman, who occasionally decides to hop on a boat and engage in bloody battle against the God of Deer. For some reason.

  1. I was digging the vibe of this game until it came time to build a home. Had grass sticking through my floors and the roof kept falling apart. What's the point of having custom building if you have to build your little viking hut the way they want you to?

I'll pick it back up again at some point. Maybe a few years of dev time.

For now I'm enjoying 7 days to die. Its leaps and bounds a better game with similar gameplay elements.

  2. NO JON! NO raised houses. You need a strong foundation, structural integrity is a factor in this game. It may look alright at first, but a house without support will start to decay.

P.S Please put on your clothes thx

  3. Hey Jon, there is a repair button on the workbench to repair your weapons and armor. Also the chopping block has to be next to the workbench to upgrade the bench to level 2. yours is too far away. Best of luck!

  4. This looks like another unfinished survival game from last decade. Not saying it's bad, but I don't think I understand why is this one becoming popular, much less why is it being compared to Minecraft rather than Rust, Ark or even Day Z.

  5. Very fun game but it definitely seems to shine when you've got a large number of players and are further on in the game. A lot of people aren't a fan of the PS2 style graphics, but I personally find them nostalgic and unique among survival games. This would be an awesome game to play on stream in the future.

  6. This game is really gorgeous, but I am just not seeing why there's so much hype in it. I love survivalcraft games in general, but the actual mechanics and systems of this one look incredibly generic and uninspired.

  7. Oh I have been waiting for this. It's a good game, though it may take some grinding later (mining ores mostly).

    And here's some tips:

-You were running naked most of the episode because your armor was worn (you can repair it for free at the crafting station), would have been much easier fight with the boss if you had at least leather armor on.
-Smoke builds under the the roofs (or floors in your case) and can kill you.
-There is secondary attack for most weapons, you can throw spear with a secondary attack for example.
-You should always watch your stamina, it regenerates faster when you have "rested" bonus, the higher the comfort level, the longer you will stay rested.

  8. This is a fun game, you build you viking house, farm, kill loads of enemies, boss fights, you can play with friends on your own, all in all not a bad game, it might make a good live stream with hints from the viewers,

  9. Ah Jon… you have shown yourself a TRUE viking, Odin see you and you have brought your family honor.
Many generations will tell the tales of Jon and the battle against the mighty beast…. on top of …a raft.
