VALHEIM – Yagluth – Boss Guide

The final boss as of current, the 5th boss Yagluth is definitely a challenge!
Similar to Bonemass, with the right meads it will increase your survivability 10 fold. Set up base nearby but not too near…

  1. I will say, if they didn't massiely buff the damage of yagluth from the patch he is still effectively the 2nd easiest boss, beaten by Eikthyr. Obv, for the tier you are at. Due to how cheap blackmetal weapons and padded armour is it is really easy to get a maxed out set, and a friend and I did him easily (pre-patch) with:
Max blackmetal atgeir (me) sword (friend)
    Max padded
    Fire resist wine
Pudding + Serpent stew + meat pie

Only 1 of each consumable was needed, as he died too quickly.

  2. Great guide as usual! This guy is resistant to all elemental damage. If using the bow, go with needle arrows. I'm not sure if silver arrows will hurt him since he appears to be undead.

  3. Tested different arrows today, Frost ones did the most dmg (yes, more than needle). Also take Frostner with you, best choice here compared to other (blackmetal) weeapons and Porcupine.
–> Seems like he has a weakness for frost dmg.

  4. Heard that the "cheese method" is to trench around the summon altar, and he gets "stuck" in it. Makes him immobile (mostly), and nullifies his targeted attack, doesn't do much to the meteors or his AoE.

  5. I’ve heard there are supposed to be 9 bosses and 9 biomes when the game is finished… assuming the difficulty of the biomes increase as the game goes on I’m shaking at the thought of what they’re going to do with the mistlands, the plains is bad enough. 😬

  6. I found the stone soo easy. I landed my first plains and there was a tower with fugglings in it and i kill them and there was the stone after 2 min in my first plains expariance I found it and it was also in the same island ı was really lucky on that 🙂

  7. Finally my boy can give me help, that i aint already got xD I was just playing as much as you did, and when the guides for the bosses came out, we already beat them. Now we are struggling with the last boss, so thank you my guy! 🙂
And btw we never had 2 search for the location stone, because we found the location very close to our plains camp, Odin blessed us 😀

  8. Got tired of searching through plains. I spent 2 days looking around for the location stone. I ended up just using the flying cheat to find it…kind of ridiculous.
Killing him was really easy if you have blackmetal armor and fully upgraded black metal sword with max life and fire resistance. Arrows just take too long solo!

  9. Man, I got lucky with this. Found a bonemass shrine a huge distance away and had to sail for around 6 irl hours to get to. On that journey I hit a plains biome where I thought the bonemass shrine was on the same landmass. It wasn't. Anyway, about 5 minutes into searching I got lucky and found an altar. Before I could even get bonemass I found Yagluth. I was terrified in my lil troll gear. I crouch-walked so many miles. I basically shut down when I heard a deathsquito.

  10. Thanks just beat him, your prep definitely helped. I ended up just going really close and did lots of melee attacks and health potions. Also I had a stone structure nearby that let me hide from him and attack him when he was close. If that works with player structures I'd create a two high structure you can run around
