  1. You wanna make an argument that the INDUSTRY is the issue, that money is being prioritized over the art, that is perfectly fine. However, saying that the GAMING AS A WHOLE is on a downward thrust (pun intended), you need to take a break from the crayons you’ve been eating.

  2. One other stupid things I hear is that linear games are dead due to open worlds being pumped out, which is stupid. Just because Ubisoft exists doesn’t mean that linear games are dead.

The only kind of game I can’t find is something like Daggerfall or Return Of The Obra Dinn, and that’s probably because I’m an idiot who can’t do research.

  3. I think you should also tackle the idiots spouting the same bs on the comic book industry and the movie and show industry to because it's getting ridiculous like with what the oxymorons are spouting about gaming nowadays

  4. One thing I hate about the people who say this stuff and prefer older games, say shit like "accessibility ruined video games". On which I say that, outside that this is glorified gatekeeping BS, if it wasn't for this accessibility, I would probably miss out many games, both recent and older. I got into niche franchises like Thief, Gothic, Bayonetta and Persona because of this accessibility
So, to these doom and gloom fetishists, how about you grow up for once?

  5. I will say that, IF the anti-consumer BS doesn’t stop, if game like Anthem, Marvel’s Avengers, Fallout 76, etc, etc, don’t stop coming out in a half baked, broken, buggy mess…if games like FIFA and Madden continue to have gambling in them…if the consumer mistreatment and the mistreatment of the development teams doesn’t stop… the risk of a crash is high
Probably not like the one in the 80s that Nintendo saved, but still
The AAA industry standard is a plague that will continue to do exponential harm the longer it continues

Comparing what is likely to happen if this doesn’t stop to what happened in the 80s…I’d say a comparison to the 2008 recession and the Great Depression of the 30s is a fair comparison

Thankfully, we are seeing signs of change… but if that change doesn’t continue, it will get SO much worse
Maybe not a full on crash in gaming… but certainly a catastrophic event of some kind

It’s not inevitable yet… but if things don’t change, and a new path isn’t taken, SOMETHING is going to break by 2030… and it will be felt far and wide
