  1. The reason How Did We Get Here stays completed is because unlike the tiered advancements, such as Adventuring Time, It requires having all the effects at the same time. This also means there is only 1 advancemnet criteria, and when you complete the criteria it stays completed meaning you don't need to do it again. However, the idea about not getting xp again would be nice lore instead of understanding how minecraft's advancements work.
    Also it would be nice if the shriekers gave the player darkness even tho it can't spawn a warden, but probably fir a quicker duration.

  3. Huh. I'd heard they were changing things to get rid of update suppression issues, but didn't know they were making those changes in this way. That's super useful, and can even make update suppression easier if you want it. For once, an update has not made technical Minecraft much worse, very nice

  4. Ray is it possible (and how) to convert an old world with regular generation to one with large biome generation or amplified? The nbt tag for the world type got removed in 1.18

  5. I actually like them patching the gamma thing. It's really annoying if you have a friend who uses it and because of that they don't light up anything which ends up spawning mobs all around our base

  6. Not allowing us to move the warden and create colosseums or mazes with the minotaur inside or just traps for our friends is a huge huge miss for Minecraft.

  7. I am most upset about the super bright, and also a little about the render distance hotkey. "How did we get here?" being only possible in a deep dark biome makes a really hard advancement so much harder and kind of dumb. I wish player moved shriekers kept some of their properties even if they didn't spawn the warden. Like the only feature they retain is the loud noise?

  8. Wait, so gamma is not a bad idea but I can see from a creator perspective. There is honestly no work around for this one because either you use the gamma for video content or you use it for personal use; unless mojang implemented a creator code which unlocks it based on your streaming channel or something? Second, if I can pick up a minecart chest, why cant I pick up a bookshelf the same way? I like mojangs initiative but there should be some player based input for updates and issues. Ray, can you do a Q&A with mojang and bring up some questions the community wants to ask or implement?

  9. As someone who deals with a pretty bad Laptop, changing render distance is actaully a pain ngl. I use F3 and G a lot and so when I acidentally hit F3 and F it would usually crash my game.

  10. Them 'patching' the gamma edit for fulbright makes me sad 🙁 i guess we'll just have to figure out another way to vanilla fulbright…
