Where is Hollow Knight: Silksong? [Everything we know about Hollow Knight Silksong]

Hollow Knight: Silksong is Team Cherry’s upcoming action platformer that is the sequel to the magnificent Hollow Knight. Hollow Knight is one of my favourite ever games – and I fall in love with it every time I play it.

I cannot wait for Hollow Knight: Silksong – every day I think about it and miss the first time I played Hollow Knight not knowing what it was going to be about.

Over the last year there has been very little news about Hollow Knight Silksong.

So, let’s talk about everything we know about Hollow Knight: Silksong and ask the question: Where is Hollow Knight: Silksong? Seriously, where the hell is Hollow Knight: Silksong?

  1. Happily, still in development, imagine if it was suddenly canceled.
At this rate, considering Team Cherry is already more skilled than before at making games, they already had the base when starting to develop silksong, and they started it shortly after Hollow Knight was released, and it's taking longer than Hollow Knight, AND they didn't need to start from scratch twice this time, I hope silksong will be AT LEAST 25% bigger than Hollow Knight.

  2. I came to a realization a while ago: the longer it takes for silksong to come out, the longer (as in gameplay hours), and better, more vast, more in-depth lore, etc, it will have. Looking at it from this point of view, I began to want team cherry to not release the game for a while longer. After all, we've waited this long, we can wait an extra month, or 2, or 12, to get more out of it, right? (I still really want to play it though)

  3. my guess would be they are just polishing the game and not so focused on creating new content. that's why there is no new updates, because "we fixed several visual bugs" just isn't an update people would care about in an unreleased game.

  4. This is why devs never want to leave the indie sphere. Hollow Knight got as long as it needed to develop but with Silksong we can't get off their cases and will likely spam hate and disappointment when it's out, regardless of merit.

  5. Honestly patience is good but after waiting for three years to get literally nothing news wise for Bayonetta 3 a game's marketing basically going silent for a whole year just kind of make it seem like vaporware when thought about and drains all the hype for it away. Silksong was something I was insanely hyped for on announcement and I've been let down over and over when hoping to even see it featured in a direct or something showcasing indies and it's…never there anymore. You have to actively dig to see if anything has been said and what little is so minor that it's essentially nothing.

  6. I still don’t get why everybody in this community acts like it’s been 10 years since hollow knight, like it’s literally been 3 years, we have been waiting for a new prime game for over 10.

  7. I'm totally fine with waiting for this. Look at Cyberpunk. It was delayed and rushed out before it was finished and look at how much of a shit-show it is. Let team cherry do their thing and trust they'll get it done when it's ready.

    It's already looking dope!
