  1. We can't play crossfaction because it's an MMORPG where 2 factions have to face each other. It was like this from the beginning, and in times of cataclysm they must face their greatest enemy together or else they'll die. Cmon now, the horde attacked the Alliance in Argent Tournament XD.
    Maybe they'll add some type of feature in the next expansion where we're about to lose Azeroth (and here comes Magni with "Azeroth cries out in pain"… hope he'll die) and we must work together. Like for example make a common battlefield and capital city where you can't fight (not even in WM/with pvp on). Would be cool. Although I hope blizz will see this and think about it in the future.

  2. Nowadays, Blizzard simply can not allow themselves to split their playerbase to 2. It isn't 2004 anymore, there aren't 12M players and it hurts one faction too hard and for no real reason just like you said.
    Hope it gets fixed and balanced asap…

As someone that just used the free weekend to FINALLY convince a group of local friends to try WoW again, only to find after months of trying, their response to me playing Alliance was "eww alliance" and shuffling feet and kicking rocks. Then "Hey, we should roll Horde on this server" gets an immediate "Yeah!" and storming the gates.

    It's tiring and I've given up. After trying for so long to try to get my friends to play a game I want to play (they're more the Overwatch/Apex Legends/CoD crowd), and they just ignore me at the drop of a hat, I just can't be bothered to care anymore.

    At least let me play with my friends. I don't give two shits about your forced faction war anymore. Literally the entire BfA expansion was the forcing of it down my throat so they could have their little Sylvanas waifu dance for Shadowlands. I just want to play with my friends without having to abandon everything I've done and the other friends I've been playing with for years just to do that.

    And y'know what? Blizzard can do it super easy. They have the mechanic for doing so in-game already. All they need to do is turn it into a cold war. Everyone can play with everyone else (maybe restrict entering opposing faction capital cities, for flavour). Then, if you want your faction divide, enable warmode, which can act as your "border skirmish" style attacks and killings by those that still want the war to go on.

    Super fucking simple and I can play with my friends, even if they want to play Horde.

  5. maybe they could make it so whenever Warmode is off, you're playing as a Neutral Faction.
    giving you the ability to speak "world common language" and enabling queues with all who are in Neutral Faction.
    since you can't switch to Warmode in raids or dungeons, this would even solve the idea that people will rage and kill the other faction mid raid.
    it would not only solve the problem of playing with friends on the other faction, but it would also increase the effective player pool in the game.
    I can even think of lore to back it up:
    we go into the shadowlands to face a new danger to Azeroth, in the midst of the 4th war. both Horde and Alliance decide to put their aggression aside for the time being to overcome a greater danger, forging a pact and working together against the threat of the shadowlands.

  7. they have to change the lore for this instand use groups or organazitions like argent crusade or twilight hammer and use them for new plots itt would be esier then inventing new uber space gods like previous expensions
