NOTE* It’s not always about building the most perfectly optimized build, it’s also about having fun and building a character you enjoy playing (in this case, is also extremely powerful.) Excited for others to try it! ⚔️

Do Goblin Slayer build
this should hold me over until I can rock my Goliath Barbarian (path of the berserker) Head's will roll. "Buday" – Grog Strongjaw
Looking forward to some critical role mods. man I can see the DLC possibilities being pretty dang crazy.
Kind of like Drizzt Do'Urden.
"StOp MeTa GaMinG"
It was great playing a rogue that used sneak attack with a greataxe at level 4. I guess you could do it at level 1 with a human variant and Weapon master feat heh =P
Yep, that's what we used to call 'Gros Bill' in the the French speaking role playing scene. A build that either breaks the rules or stretches them to a point where they become unbeatable. Or in other words, boring. My character in tabletop 5th edition is also a ranger so I know many of those feats, spells etc. But why would I want to do that?
You may want to avoid duel weapon fighting at level 2 for the time being, as it is bugged and does nothing currently in early alpha. Everyone gets it for free right now, so might as well take defense instead.
Great guide – subscribed – how the hell do you not have 100k+ subs??? Keep it up Wolfie!!
44 damage in one turn? laughs in barbarian
Technically using a spell then attack as a Bonus is illegal according to tabletop rules, though.
6:35 the ranger's two weapon fighting fighting style is only active as long as you wear light armor, so this build is dead in the water.
Unless they fixed this, that is…
Amazing build thanks

In the end the combat is so east and banal that you will use same attack over and over again.
Drow ranger with spider companion and two scimitars… your average drizzt build
Unless they consciously go off the book with dual wielding, they would patch the "use an action for anything, and then attack offhand with bonus action". In tabletop, you can only use the offhand weapon as a bonus action if you have made a main hand weapon attack(s) with your action.
That being said, they're adding stuff like cleave and other "weapon special attacks" to the game, so I wouldn't be surprised if they kept the bonus action as a completely separate attack.
Love the build, im doing similar but with the rare polearm under druid grove. HM + CS + Polearm = big damage! enjoy!
Nice video (: thanks for this good guide.
I may consider buying this when (and only when) I can play a half orc bear totem barbarian/champion fighter
high eld? completely useless… the cantrip uses an action which should have been used for a damaging attack! why bother buffing resistance if you just kill the enemies before they kill you? shield dwarf has +2 str +2 con. you can get 16 str, 14 dex (for highest AC with githyanki armor) and 16 con! you get a +3m movement ring later, so the lesser movespeed of dwarfs doesnt really matter
Imo Gith is a better race for this build as Blade ward isn't a great cantrip, and Gith get the Jump spell naturally, so you can pick cure wounds early and a different spell at the next level.
Really cool looking build! Iam looking forward to try it and optimize it for my style of playing :3
any idea which vendor sells or which enemy drops the Longsword +1? I know Dammon sells the Battleaxe +1.
Somewhere i read colossus slayer and hunter's mark doesn´t stack…
If I recall correctly, 5th edition Drizzt is something like level 8 ranger and level 11 fighter.. Or level 7 ranger and level 12 fighter. Anyway, the point being, he has similar ranger build if I recall correctly AND three attacks from fighter on top, giving a nice total of 4 attacks per round and all of them with hunter's mark bonus of course.
If you're expecting to use Jump a lot for positioning, wouldn't it be better to use a 2-handed weapon since you often won't get the offhand attack?
I`m wondering if you get the "mark of the absolute" if adding the "gloves of power" might be a good idea?? …you only get +1 saving throw from the metallic gloves while the gloves of power can apply "Bane" with no penalty to you if you have the brand
how do you get 1/2 handed swords to be one handed/dual wield? can't seem to equip anything after I equip +1 long sword (lvl 3 knight ranger per the build) can dual wield smaller weapons
Thank you for the great video and the cool build idea! I tweaked it for my Sith roleplay playthrough, and I mentioned your video on my video too! Good job and please keep making your cool build videos!
I'm so disappointed that this game is going to be so short. 3 acts isn't anywhere deep enough. This isn't 2000 when you could get away with selling Neverwinter Nights that way.
Hunter's mark doesn't stack with Colossus' Slayer though, at least not yet.
I have been having fun with this build using the shattered flail in the off hand and Dragon's grasp in the main. Shattered flail heals my character 1d6 when he hits with it which is very nice. I had plans to upgrade to a heavy weapon but I approached the gnolls from the wrong angle, they ate the other group, the gnoll leader ate the gnolls, my group killed the gnolls, then I talked to the dead group for the passphrase to their hidden base, then I stole all their vender's stuff but he didn't have his good stuff with him because of reason's, then their leader got all pissy because my group wasn't professional so I killed them…. Why does killing a vender make all his cash and certain stuff disappear? Point is… This build is pretty bas a$$ with some of the light weapon's we find around. 🙂
As I understand right, we have no heavy armor in Act1, so Ranger Knight is absolutely useless in Act1. And any dexterity kind of Ranger is a better tank than Ranger Knight because of +2 AC from Dexterity.
