Cyberpunk 2077 Is ON FIRE On PS4 & Xbox One

So THIS is why CD Projekt RED didn’t want people seeing last-gen console versions.

  1. I get what you're saying Scott and Josh and you're right, but my advice everyone is don't write off and trash this game JUST yet. Reason I say that, is that I'm assuming that you didn't cover this here because it's most likely not out yet for you, but Update 1.04 has just dropped for PS4/Pro (yet to be announced for XBox), which according to the patch notes fixes most of these issues particularly the crashing issues. Don't be quick to judge this game just yet. Yes I understand it needs fixing, but as I've said, don't write off this game and trash it just yet. This is a perfect example of why no game is perfect at launch. I don't care how much you defend it. Be patient. I wouldn't be at all surprised that the reason that Cyberpunk 2077 came out in the state it's in right now, outside of the stock/investors reason, is ALSO because they felt pressured to release it, because they knew that if they didn't release it on December 10, they would get even more death threats on social media for moronic idiots, regardless of how 'empty' said threat was. It's not ALL CDPR's fault if this IS the case.

  2. Here’s the thing: they made the choice to put it on those machines. So, it’s on them to make it function. Not saying for it to look as good as new gen consoles and PC, but at least make it function and look like a PS4/Xbox One game.

  3. Still haven't had a crash on Series X, I did however have a couple of moments when it looked like it might but it pulled through it. You either need a high end pc or a series x if you want to play this game

  4. The bugs might get annoying sometimes but it is still a good game on the series x and it runs great for me except for a few crashes and I get great decent graphics. I think this game is still great but they just need time to see what works and what doesn’t with the game actually released. I’ve have already put about 20 hours into the game and it is very immersive even for the bugs and crashes, but again it’ll just be time until it becomes the game we want. I will give it probably a few months until we get the game we expected.

  5. For those who keep saying "why'd you expect it to run on 2013 hardware and expect it to be like PC?":

Nobody expected it to be a miracle like the PC version, or the upcoming PS5 and XSX version. We knew there was no raytracing. So who are you kidding since raytracing hasn't been on a single game on those consoles. We didn't expect it to be overflowing with detail. We weren't sure what the resolution or the framerate would be.

People with the base PS4, PS4 Slim, Xbox One and Xbox One S were expecting it to have enough detail to look like a PS4/Xbox One game (not something from early PS3 days but with worse performance), we expected 1080p, a stable 30 fps, no pop-in, no loading textures after 5-10 seconds, no constant crashing (losing people precious time that they devoted to this game). The only thing people were expecting was for it to be playable. Thats the part that stings for people. Their deception.

Heck theres 165+ million combined PS4's and Xbox Ones out there and really only 28-30% of them are 'Pro/.5' consoles. So 70% of those who bought the game got duped, because of their deception and marketing and them playing keep away with reviews, except only allowing PC reviews and only with footage they provided. Scummy.

This game has been in development 7 years or so. It started as a PC, PS4 and Xbox One game. It did start development in 2013, afterall…with that generation just starting. They wanted a bite of those 165+ million units at the end of their cycle. The fact that they couldn't finish it as a PS4 or Xbox One game is their problem. They could have gone the route that FFv13 and The Last Guardian did. But they didn't. Too greedy. They thought a "free upgrade" was a free pass. When the majority of console players won't have a PS5 or XSX for over a year, 2, 3 or 4. So do those people that bought this unplayable game now have to wait 1, 2, 3 or 4 years as well? They didn't pay $60 for that.

With that said, anyone remember the 360. It launched November 2005. Four months later the Oblivion 360 version launched in March 2006. Technically speaking, it was meh. Load screens everywhere even when just roaming the land and forests. Pop-ins. Frame rate was bad. Laughable draw distance. But then 6 years later in November 2011 we got Skyrim. Beautiful world, no load screens except houses, better draw distance, better frame rate, no pop-ins, etc and that was all on 6 year old hardware at the time. How was that possible?

Oh, don't forget GTA4 from early 2008. Terrible draw distance, pop-ins, screen tearing, frame rate. And the 360 was only out 2.5 years when GTA4 launched. I thought that that was its limit, because it sure seemed like it was pushing it and struggling. But then in Fall 2013 we got GTA5. It was beautiful, ran better, no screen tearing, no bad frame rate, draw distance was long, no pop-ins or texture issues, and somehow the world was more alive, as well as a map world that was 3 times bigger. ALL ON 8 YEAR OLD HARDWARE. How was that possible on old hardware?

Maybe the fact that they didn't have to develop for 7 systems like these guys did. 1)PS4/Slim 2)PS4 Pro 3)PS5 4) Xbox One and S 5)Xbox One X 6) XSX 7)PC.

GTA5 did it smart. Made just PS3 and 360 version. Focused completely on it running smoothly. Released September 2013. Year later in Nov 2015 PS4 and Xbox One version released. 5 months after that in May 2015 PC release. Each got time and focus. While here it seems they quit 2 years ago when they got their PS5 and XSX development kits.

  7. Same issues on xbox one x, genuinely thought I had a problem with my console to begin with! Absolutely loving it, just want the crashes to stop. Can deal with a few glitches here and there!

  8. Been playing on series x and even though the framerate is more stable, the glitches and bugs render it unplayable. Had to start a new game because after the long prologue, it just started to break down more by the minute.

  9. i hope people not worrying that much cuz the company behind this game will be giving free update and will care more to fix all the technical issues

  10. The software is barely able to stream assets on older, HDD based consoles? No wonder it crashes waiting on assets. The allocated drive space it was installed in could be in a spot on the platter with the worst speeds or fragmented. I wonder how many crashes can be “fixed” by upgrading the system drive to an SSD.

  11. Having spent over 10 hours playing CP2077 on xbox one x,I can safely say I have had only few minor issues like a few graphic slutters and an occasional frame drop. And it hasn't crashed even once.
