The reason why apex beats out warzone is it is a way way better game and always has been but it was competing with fortnite back in the day and still held up but as you can see warzone is just junk and always has been people are just starting to realize it though. reason i say that is their games are trash to begin with and then they somehow find away to make them worse every update.
Apex is a really good game. The ranked system is very interesting, There are alot of maps available and the most important thing is that doesn't have so many cheaters as Warzone have.

Pubg and Fortnite weren't even the first ones. First one I watch was H1Z1.
After 700 hours I’ve finally uninstalled Apex, BR games were fun for a while but now it’s just too sweaty. Like does anyone actually have “fun” playing this or any BR games anymore? I’m genuinely curious
I played apex since season 2 to season 4 and a half, season 5 i skipped completely becouse of warzone, but i got bored so much of that game that i came back to Apex on the second half of sesson 6, and i regret losing time on warzone tbh
I can save you 18 minutes, people stopped playing warzone because of the lack of an anti-cheat, nothing else.

I played Apex since season 4 came out. I enjoy it ever since. I have tried other games like Valorant dan Battlefield. I find that Valorant is heavily an aim type of game, where there are little movement involved in the gameplay. Valorant is so slow compared to Apex, I can't stand the movement in Valorant. Somehow I always comeback to Apex after trying a new game that I just installed. Sorry for bad English <3
The thing with apex is that each gun has it's own place. The attachments can give you an advantage regarding certain abilities. The items can change the outcome of a battle, like the gold backpack or gold knock-shield. The ability to armor swap mid fight prolongs fights and makes you feel like a God when you win. And even when a teammate is down, you can use them as cover. That alone can change the outcome of a game! I've never played Warzone but I have played COD for years and it does get stale with the same guns, same strats, same map design, game modes, and team. The choice of picking characters is huge. I think that is aspect of Apex is underappreciated than people realize.
The biggest fall of warzone recently has been the amount of cheater and lack of anti cheat for too long. The vanguard update will come with a brand new anti cheat that they've been working a year on but they didn't tell anyone about anything for too long and the damage was done
Honestly this is not good because now fucking warzone clowns will come here to apex and alter everything

Apex is the another level BR game it has ground breaking Movement mechanism,Gunplay with high tech abilities & off course the best ping system.
But
The worst things about Apex are Servers & Anti cheat, both are ruining all the playerbase.

Biggest reason for its downfall at the beginning was youd have these kids that had come from Fortnite with the only weapons being 1ar 1shotgun and so on weapon choosing was rather simple and then you’d get into apex and you wouldn’t know what to take, that adding to the fact the skill gap from terrible to meh was movement something which the Fortnite gamers had never seen before probably made it hard for them to win and then they get salty and leave

I wish I could play Apex for some reason Warzone runs at 30fps 90ms and Apex at 300ms and 11fps constantly(Super Low)

Apex has been the best soon as it came out. No battle royal can touch it honestly.
Don't forget about the Tap-Strafing Removal and lots of players will leave the game.
Cod is just boring compared to apex.
I agree with your analysis, the movement in Apex legends makes it a special game. But I secret ingredient is that you can be a bad to average player and still play apex legends. War zone is so bloody hard, I mean I end up dieing minutes after landing, and I never ever won a round of battle royale. Again I sued to play Warzone for the once in a blue moon team death matches, thats the only way to horn your skills and get used to the weapons load out. Apex legends saw this and introduced the perfect Arenas mode. Warzone have more realistic weapons, but the difficulty is almost discouraging. They should make a team death match mode.
apex legends is a fast paced game br where as cod all you do is either camp your way to w or get sniped by a camper.

Warzone quite literally depresses me. Even when you double the saturation the color palateis dreary and depressing. The sound design is super obnoxious and overly loud. Like I would be walking around for 5 minute with nobody to be found, then suddenly ‘DDDRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR’ dead. Even when I had a streak of high kill games I often noticed I wasn’t enjoying myself so much. I also never felt I could find a sensitivity that 100% worked for me.
Apex on the other hand is way nicer to look at (not unimportant), has the right balance between arcade like gameplay but still fast kills. Lots of strategy variety through the different legends, and probably be gold standard of controller sense customisation.

The "new content" concept in a game is interesting. Before I owned a ps4, I spent hundreds of hours on games like galaga. There's something satifying about seeing you skills improve. Apex is the best game today even without "new content". I'd play it over warzone no matter what.
Warzone still slacking on that fov slider and anti cheat. They put all their resources into the next years game. They dgaf about the player base
