  1. Not bad tips. All around good video! To add on to these I'd say know what your buying. I've had a few times where a couple of friends who were new to collecting accidentally bought a bootleg game because they didn't know any better. If you can see a couple of signs it always helps, and on top of knowing what your buying you can usually spot a good deal if you find what your looking for. One more thing to add is to support local businesses and communities when actively game hunting. Checking the retro game store or going to your local thrift store, flea market, goodwill, 2nd 'N Charles, pawn shop, etc. Its usually a pretty good way to support your community and make connections with people. One experience I had was walking into a newly opened thrift store and talking to the lady that owned it for a little bit, eventually I found 3 boxes full of PS2, games along with a few Xbox and Gamecube titles mixed in, after telling her that I collected and just getting to know her she charged me only $50 for everything. I payed about 25 cents a game, anything I didn't add to my collection I took over to my local retro store and got a few more games for free thanks to trade in credit.

  2. These cats trying to come into collecting in 2021 with all the social challenges and over-hype on everything videogame related… good luck. Keep your ear out in the social media groups too. There are plenty of people who have been collecting for a really long time that just don't care anymore (*cough*) and are willing to get rid of things without trying to get every possible penny for their stuff. I feel for all the newbies out there.
