Great tutorial, easy paint scheme for a busy model.
30k Death Guard soon! π
Nice work ! Can i hope to see another tutorial with a pale blue style like on the cover of the old codex (https://figurines-wargame.fr/4102-large_default/codex-death-guard.jpg) ? Or just some paints ref to use for doing this ?
Gorgeous work, the definitive "clean" DG scheme.
Thanks for sharing your mistake and how you fixed it!
Absolutely stunning. Great job breaking down a complex figure.
Anything Nurgle is very forgiving with painting though, since you can mess up and suddenly it's a feature
I'd love to have one of your signature series airbrushes, but sadly no money
How did you secure the weapon/hands while airbrushing the first coats? Blue tack?
You do some of the best work of this type on youtube.
This was great! I would love to see your take on some of the Stormcast too. Tempest Lords or Astral Templars maybe to get a new color in there too.
You use a hairdryer to quickly set the paint, but could you do the same thing with the airbrush just from a distance so it doesn't spider the paint? Great video as usual too π
I just love these models
Outstanding tutorial…..as usual. The first space marines i ever attempted to paint were death guards. I really enjoyed painting them in all their nastiness. However after watching the way you've just painted this death guard using an airbrush and various base coats and contrast paint coat etc…, im really tempted to go out and buy an airbrush. I just don't want to spend a "fortune" on something that I have no idea how to use lol. Thanks again for your channel, stay healthy and God bless.
This is great πͺ
Nice one!
Great video.
Really like the oil wash to give it a grimey look. What colour would suggest if I wanted to do that to white armour?
Brilliant stuff! great scheme for the Nurgles blessed Marines! Any chance of a tutorial on pox walkers using enamels and oils?
Looks great. Perfect for army painting as you said.
Great process
Excellent video as alway, clean, detailed steps, and sharing the painting passion every second. Thanks for sharing.
Excellent tutorial – thank you! Food for thought re the streaking technique you did with the oil wash.
Lovely work! Odd question but it's been bugging me for ages, do you remember where you picked your gloves up from? I'm looking for some
Great video, Iβm contemplating the same thing (how to paint these fairly detailed Death Guard in army quantities).
Well that's my mind blow. I will defiantly be using the cheeky nearly dry streaking effect ππΌππΌ
Another great video, can't wait for the 30k scheme. One of my favorites for the current models. Makes them more scary thinking they've been kicking around for 10k years (or maybe it's just me.)
Would love to see one on the Pox Walkers since they need to be batch painted in groups of 20 to be effective on the table
How long do i need to wait for the gloss varnish to dry? Anybody know?
That's not a tabbard, it's his handkerchief!
Winsor & Newton Burnt Umber is just the best. I learned washing skills with that (and Burnt Sienna to a lesser extent) 30 years ago. Glad it still has a place on the painter's table βΊ
Loved the video, I have some Death Guard from nearly as long ago I never had the courage to paint. This video is a real education, thank you.
Subbed. That's really nice. Big brain painter…
Beautiful easily replicated tutorial. Well done man.
awesome as always buddy
Could you achieve a similar effect with AK streaking grime as you did with the panel liner?
You said you use black base under metallic paints, do you use that for bright gold too? I've tried painting over light brown using one of brightest Vallejo Game Color gold paints, and I feel I could as well be painting with my pee – that thing doesn't cover at all…
Are you applying the Vallejo gloss varnish using an airbrush?
