Really good video mate
Mimicing quick attack was a masterpiece
Nice! A fun fact, Hitmonlee was my first level 100 Pokemon in yellow so this one is personal LOL
Hitmon-killingspree
I love the screen layout and the audio sounds great. So IMO you don't need any help on the production side. Just keep making videos like this and you channels gonna grow.
What about a challenge that you'll have to use the opposite dex number to what each major battle uses
The new layout is good. The additional information is helpful
Challenge idea: gen 1 "competitive" Starmie minimum battles speedrun. Set up a Starmie with ice beam/blizzard, thunderbolt/thunder, psychic, and surf. Easy run, so it could even be a quick video
Hitmonlee is a Hitmonchad, one of my favorite of the original 150.
Rival named Butt
you should do a gen 2 togepi run
OMG! I didn't know that Elixir was there! Then again, maybe I got it as a kid & forgot about it. Remembering & forgetting things is good for the Algorithm!
My man's out here using hitmonlee, thank god, such an underrated, but satisfying pokemon. good on you sir, you earned a sub!
I found out that meditate was a gen 1 move like 2 years ago and I’ve been playing Pokémon since red and blue lol I always thought it was a gen 3 move because of the Pokémon called meditite, so I thought it was a signature move, plus I never used Hitmonlee as a kid, always chose Hitmonchan
Love the layout man!!
25 years I’ve been playing Pokemon and I never knew about the hidden rare candy in the mansion at 10:22 gobsmacked
I just wanted to say man that I really enjoyed this video. My favourite part was your excellent use of mimic. It's such an underrated move in gen 1 and is always overlooked. Keep up the great work my dude!
Yo I just recently started playing Yellow myself. I got the Mew when I got to Cerulean, and I'm already at the Pokemon League
If you want an honest opinion on how to improve the channel it's this. Try to find your thing, its great you are inspired by mah dry bread, but this whole video felt like one of his. You definitely have potential to grow but you can't just be mah dry bread 2.0
Hitmonlee Kicking Ass
Hitmonlee was the only Fighting type in Gen 1 that had real moves, like Rolling Kick or Hi Jump kick. The only other Fighting move that did real damage was Submission, but it had crappy accuracy and damaged the user. Which is a shame because it kind of ruined Pokemon like Machamp. At least in the next two generations they added some moves so you could better use of the Fighting type advantages (especially since they added Steel and Dark at that point).
Man I'm glad I've found another producer of videos. I'm usually a jrose11 or MDB fan but both of the guys seem to be getting over making play throughs. You definitely have a mix of the 2, you go into enough detail like jrose and still have the fun aspect that MDB has. Keep up the great work. Love watching your videos
Bruce Lee beats up pocket monsters
Which fossil did you take?
Just asking for the algorithm :3
When I was a kid I had Pokémon silver, thought hitmonlee was really cool so I cloned him over and over while he was holding a rare candy so I could get him to lvl 100, I finally did so I wanted to test out his high jump kick. I right out of celadon city, encounter a lvl 19 raticate, used my very first high jump kick, missed and killed myself in one shot hahaha
I was surprised at the lack of moves hitmonlee could learn in gen 1. I loved using it against lorelai and others in the elite 4 but I guess I never thought it was that bad in the tm department
you have inspired me to try firered with no physical attacks hitmonchan only
If you want another odd Pokemon most people don't use, go with Stantler, either in Gen 2 or Gen 4. He has a surprisingly good stay spread and an all right move pool. Should be interesting
What about a Granbull run its quite random in general for choices in pokemon gold, especially since it's only normal type!
