  1. Sony makes outstanding games, specially single player, I wish they would focus outside of exclusivity and tried doing something like Xbox and game pass. It’s about the games, if it was gamer centric it would focus on making them more accessible regardless of platform. Xbox sees this, and has worked hard to attempt this, PC and console. They care about making more games and making money that way, off the services. We will see how exclusive they become with their new studios acquisition such as Bethesda.

  2. Single Player will always be viable as long as its well made.
The idea that people don't want them is just a hoax made up by consultants in order to push for money making "service multiplayer".
Do it as before, in the old times: a great solo player + a fun multiplayer for leasure.

    Single Player for life!

  3. Been an Xbox owner for well over a decade. Took the plunge on the PS5, and I can’t wait to dive into this massive library of AMAZING games. This got me even more excited. Lfg

  4. Before the internet, we played single player. Between all the hacking online etc and internet outages for some, single player will always be in demand. Especially when you have connection issues. This is the reason I would prefer the disc edition over the digital, unless you're MOSTLY paying single player games.

  5. The problem with multiplayer games is that if you don't join from the start and stay in it, you'll be behind if you play casually. You wont have the most recent weapons unlocked, perks, and will lack map knowledge and skills to be good. People also suck for multiple reasons and sometimes it's hard to get friends to play the same game at the same time. I can't wait to see a return to form of good single player games I can get lost in and play at my own pace.

  6. So Sony is continuing the old Nintendo strategy: make a console and make good first party games for it. Seems like a simple strategy.

  7. Sony definitely gonna lose ground to game pass. For the price of one game I could have 7 months of unlimited access to hundreds of indie and triple A games.

  8. Their biggest bet is censoring games and porting all their exclusives to pc? I used to be a playstation fanboy, had every system. But I will not buy the ps5 because of these actions.

  9. I've owned damn near every console since oddessy2.the fact that ps5s aren't available 6 months later is ridiculous. Whichever company get get product in a store first is gonna get my cash and I'm ok eating towards gamepass anyway.

  10. Singleplayer focus is good, but Sony is basically paying third party studios to keep games from other platforms and well – gets applauded! This is cancer for gaming. And before you are complaining: not Microsoft and not Nintendo are doing this in this scale! First party games can be exclusive no problem, but third party games should never!!!

  11. Single Player games make PVP games popular. Would GTA online be as popular if it wasn't for GTA 5? Would RDO sell well without RDR or RDR2? How many ppl buy the Division or Division 2 just for PVP in comparison to PVE? 75% or MORE of player base is PVE.

  12. Um… The developers for demons souls and the remake are 3rd party, but both demons souls are playstation exclusive.

Also From Software has been almost sony exclusive until about dark souls, they even had a ps1 launch title.

  13. Yes thank god! I absolutely hate multiplayer games, always have always will. I hated that there was barely any good single player games for so long. But things have become just so much better now and seem to continue to get better with the single player games, so thank god for that!

  14. I hope they don’t just keep remaking games or sequels. They are good and needed for fan bases but I remember the days when I would get see something original and I would just spend months waiting to play something new.
