Why I DON'T Play Minecraft For Xbox Anymore

I love Minecraft for Xbox, but apparently I love it more than the creators of Minecraft and of Xbox do lol.

  1. Honestly the lack of 3rd party add ons and maps, ray tracing, and even 3rd party servers aren’t deal breakers for me. However the optimization being so utterly terrible is just disappointing. I would love to be able to play Minecraft on my Xbox and enjoy it, but the loading screens are waayyyy too long, I struggle to maintain 30 fps with fancy graphics on, and the low render distance makes my worlds look foggy. It’s sad to see one of my favorite ways to play Minecraft be ignored for so long.

  2. Screw Minecraft. When Hytale drops (if it does) Minecraft will be a thing of the past. It had a good run though. Gave us tons of entertainment, launched many careers, set trends, and just went against the grain when it came to diy sandbox games. Hytale will be the next big thing. Watch…

  3. I play on series s and its a nice little machine. I’m constantly surprised of what its capable of. Now the reason why ray tracing is not on console is because rtx has a hard time running on series s. But they should regardless give people the option. Its stupid

  4. Yeah I might actually be switching to pc 4 some of these reasons and im using java cuz we miss out on so many features like flying machines and more customization on commands I use a ps5 and my game crashes if I lag 4 more than 3 seconds and my ps4 could handle 20 seconds of lag idk if that's to do with minecraft or ps5

  5. Why do you have a headless panda in your world?

You sure it wasn't your internet crashing? I have noticed that XBox One sucked and crashed more often than I wanted. I have noticed that even though the hard drive compacity is smaller that that Xbox Series S is playing Minecraft just fine and doesn't seem to mind when I go AFK for a long while doing other things around the house and I can go type messages and check the achievements and go right back to the game with no problems.

  6. I can’t even count how many times I’ve been scammed by the marketplace, I try downloading a world and it says “marketplace isn’t working right now” and can’t even get a refund.

  7. Hearing the original drop binding for the modern console version brought me pain, dear gods
I'm not very familiar with Bedrock (I mainly play it if I'm on the road or something) but I do play various games with a PS3-layout controller, and I can say for sure that the uppermost face buttons (X or triangle in the cases of my 2 controllers, or just up on the d-pad) is where Drop should've been bound originally, they're out of the way and a little uncomfortable to reach at times so they're perfect for a rare-use action like that
That probably was a point when people wanted it changed but still

  9. Something i really hate about using a keyboard to play minecraft on my ps4 is that when i go to type in chat, i have to click the tab button twice unlike on java edition where it opens instantly and lets you type instantly. Also i only use the keyboard to play minecraft because i am able to do things faster than with a controller like when i go to take things from a chest or pvp, and those two things are major factors for a potential win while playing skywars on the hive (the hypixel of bedrock edition)

  10. personally i hate the hibernation feature, especially if i’m playing with friends because if i want to go to my desktop or switch tabs to another program, minecraft will hibernate and kick my friends from the world that i’m on or if i’m on a friends world, it will disconnect me.

  11. Microsoft did both Bedrock and Java dirty. Microsoft made the prize of the game higher then it was while it was originally actually free if you’d play Xbox One version for like 5 or 8 hours straight.
Microsoft removed the MC Addons Manager and Downloads through the Internet. Well they basically made it much harder so you’d purchase premium file apps so you’d get your addons.

Microsoft added in the marketplace which was basically already (my opinion) the most worst feature in the game. On Java you could download forge which is literally free to get mods and texture packs. But on Bedrock/Windows 10 you need to literally pay for every pack, world, addon and texture. On the original Xbox editions you’d even need to pay for skins which you could get for free on pocket edition or also on Java but no you’d have to pay for them on the bedrock version which is also pocket edition. Even the addons in the marketplace aren’t technically addons they are just worlds that you can only play the addons on and not separately.

I don’t care if it’s Sony, Microsoft or Nintendo having their own mind for some moments and reasons to benefit of the fact that they can get money from premium minecraft stuff which is in the vanilla Java version all free!?

Also Microsoft adding in the Java feature of banning people on servers which can be abused any time just randomly banning people whenever someone wants.

Minecraft is and always was a free to play after the purchase (yeah I know it costs money but I mean the fact that everything after the purchase was up to you to get the rest for free except on Bedrock).

  12. Always confused me how a device designed to only play games, can't run games great.

PC has to be optimized for what your doing specifically, but a consoles don't seem optimized at all to play games…nobody is editing videos/music on their PS4

  13. I still fail to understand how Microsoft continues to treat PC players like the "golden child" when most of them DON'T EVEN PLAY BEDROCK. I do not personally know a single person who plays Bedrock on PC, as all of them play on Java. The only reason a PC player would choose Bedrock would be cross-platform gameplay. The main market for Bedrock is mobile and consoles, yet Microsoft seems to ignore their market to try and push Bedrock on a community that wants nothing to do with it (primarily because they took things that have always been free and stuck them behind a paywall).

  14. How is it that an old discontinued version of minecraft ends up being arguably better than the current, modern version that spans multiple platforms and should be able to take advantage of hardware from more that 4 or 5 systems? Seriously Mojang, fix your game!
