  1. I think it should be next gen only. Considering this will be the last Halo and is supposed to be the platform for Halo for the next ten years its crippling its future potential, the Xbox One will be irrelevant in 2 years times so why are they focusing on building a 10 year Halo plan around outdated hardware. Either Halo Infinite should be a next gen exclusive or they scrap the 10 year plan and allow future Halo's to be without the bottleneck of older hardware.

  2. It definitely is a hard decision but tbh this is Halo we are talking about and considering all the bad flack that’s it’s garnered recently 343i HAS TO make is a phenomenal game so I think it’s best to have all their resources focused on the next gen consoles and last gen can play through Xcloud via their consoles. Halo deserves to be as best as it can be.

  3. Hey Archie! Another solid vid and conversation topic.

Considering that Halo was already in the works for the XB1 before the newer systems were even mentioned. I doubt MS would scrap all that work given how much time and money went into it thus far. It'd be a bit ridiculous IMO. But, its not the 1st they'd have done anything like that.

But still, theres nothing really earth shattering to the gameplay asides from having a gigantic Halo ring world to explore. So the only real thing being pulled from the series X|S's bag is just higher framerates. Improved textrues and geometry. Raytracing. And faster loading. Which may even be he case even with the new PS games as well. So those hanging on to the thin rope of just trashing the XB1 version are in the wrong mind of expecting groundbreaking gameplay like we see with the Medium from a game thats already been in development since late 2017.

  4. I don’t want any games to be held back, so next gen and PC only, going forward please. Not saying that Halo Infinite will be held back, but the potential for that to happen is there.

  5. The developer could have made The Medium on the previous gen consoles. It just wouldn't look as good as it does.

If there are still millions of active gamers on the old console, then it makes sense to support it. If you were publishing a game, would you limit the game to the platform with 5 million gamers, or also support the platform with 100+ million gamers? There is a reason why PC games can scale for different hardware instead of cater only to those who have a 3090.

  6. I think the timetable Microsoft set for two years before the old generation isn't supported is a good idea, but four years like playstation is doing is far too long. Because just like you said we want advancement in these games going forward. I feel Halo Infinite should be Cross generation because Halo needs to gain mass appeal and it also needs to fill those Multiplayer lobbies when the game launches.

  7. Excellent video 😃 its hard answer but I truly think the xbox one versions were done & next generation versions is where they had issues but I ain't sure it's coming out this year.
